August Monthly Theme: Life

Life is an interesting and challenging adventure.

Life is an amazing journey but can be challenging at times. It depends on how we view life and on the type of cards life deals us.

Life is like a tree that is standing tall and wide with its branches and roots stretching out in all directions. The branches can be straight or have lots of twists and turns as the tree adjusted its growth over time.

Life as a tree represents our own lives with its highs, lows, twists, and turns that shape the person we are.

Our roots may be deeply nestled into the earth twisting around obstacles we faced. There are times we flourished and as a result, grew happily.

This metaphorical tree reflects the joys, challenges, and triumphs in our lives. Each branch and root is a different aspect of our lives — our dreams, relationships, careers, and passions. Some branches are filled with green healthy leaves growing in abundance. Others may be scarred or in need of some serious pruning.

Life’s tree constantly changes with the seasons. As a young adult, my life was good. Alas, things don’t always go to plan.

I learned to embrace the challenging parts of the journey as an opportunity to grow as a person. It was not always easy, but definitely worth it!

In August 2023, there is no set monthly prompt. The theme is open to allow for your unique interpretation and experiences about life.
