Audience engagement is a great motivator. It builds an emotional connection and inspires people to be positive and motivates them to achieve great heights in life.

The audience has great power to raise your spirits. Let me share one incident with you:

I went to a music concert

Last week of December 2021, I went to a music concert. There were very few people. The singer-musician went to the stage and his spirit was dampened. He just could not start singing. He came back from the stage and started fiddling around. The audience was upset that the musician was not beginning his performance. Negotiations went on with the organizers. People began to ask for their money as the show was not starting.

The organizers did not want to return the tickets as they would lose a lot of money. They started thinking about what to do. Just then a few students entered and started giving a boost to the singer.

The singer began to sing and more people joined in. The crowd started increasing and people started smiling at the singer. One person from the audience started cheering and dancing. The power of the crowd motivated the singer and there he was. He became cheerful and started singing loudly and the crowd started thumping and sending requests for their favorite songs.

The show caught on and the singer would not stop. He continued to sing and dance on the floor. A large crowd joined him and the cheers and whistles continued till it was time for an interval.

At the interval, he was covered with the crowd as people asked for his autographs and had a personal conversation with him. They asked him when did he start singing? what were his future plans? Many people wanted to book shows with him in the future.

This is the power of an audience to listen and then to interact.

What is a musician without an audience? What is a dancer without an audience? What is a sportsman without an audience? What is a salesman without any audience? What is a movie without an audience? What is a writer without a reader?

Demotivated, sad, no reason to sing, play, dance, sell products or write as there is no audience. Audience and its engagement is very important. It has an emotional connection and helps in making people successful. It is inspirational too.

Do writers need an audience too?

Writers spend a lot of time writing. They love their work. In their sleep, they think and form their sentences. They dream about enthralling people with their writings. When they complete their story They look for someone to read their work.

If a writer writes and there is no one to read it there is no fun.

People say writing is therapeutic. I say certainly I feel so too. Getting out of my comfort zone and writing gives me time to think and be with myself. However, the bell rings and I am happy when someone reads my post. It is an exhilarating moment. I wrote something and someone got interested in finding out what I have written. That is a super Aha moment!

Each person who reads my post is special to me. However, if there is no engagement with the person then it makes me feel sad again. Beauty is the exchange of ideas and the friendship that it leads to. A bond develops between two people. You would like to read and understand what the other person writes. When you read the other writer's post, you learn a little bit about him. You also read something new and thus learn something new too. Your horizon increases and expands to new beginnings.

What lessons do we learn from here?

In order to have a deeper relationship, you need to spark an emotional connection. Speak directly to the audience and address their personal needs in your activity and if you are a writer then in your writing. If you encourage readers to leave comments, take the time to respond to them.

#1 The audience will have an emotional attachment if you are well prepared and research before your activity

#2. The activity should be interesting whether music, dance, game, sales or writing. To connect with the audience we must go the extra mile to make it very special. Audience engagement is very important for people who are selling their products. A connection has to be developed through the sales pitches and beautiful pictures, videos, and writings.

To conclude

Audience is the most important requirement in every kind of artistic world. Without audience there is no inspiration success and happiness.

There is a two way connection between the audience and the public. The public wants a service and the artist wants public. There is an important psychological and emotional connection.

Learn to create a connection and you will be succesful. The audience is both inspiring and a big motivator to push you to do great things in life.

Treat the audience with care and love and never underestimate the power of the audience to lift your spirits high or throw you to dust.

“Think about what people are doing on Facebook today. They’re keeping up with their friends and family, but they’re also building an image and identity for themselves, which in a sense is their brand. They’re connecting with the audience that they want to connect to. It’s almost a disadvantage if you’re not on it now”. Mark Zuckerberg.

I would like to give a shoutout to Brajendra Kumar for writing about data safety on Google Chrome. It is better to be safe than sorry. So do read the article.

I also read a very creative poem that is imprinted in my mind and I loved it by Hamsalekha I would like to share Blind Leela and Deaf Deva
