Appreciating Boring Things

a poem

I used to think that happiness was about the big displays, the rollercoaster highs, the confetti pops.

It wasn’t until I started appreciating the boring things… like a pen that flows just right, an empty sink (no dishes to wash!), a sweater that hugs just right, that genuine happiness permeated my day-to-day.
