Regret

I was unable to create a distribution list for our wonderful stories today.

Apologies to our readers and writers.

My first focus was on dealing with the stolen content issue. The outcome was great so I shared it in a story.

Hijacked Time

My valuable time was hijacked by someone who created a storm in a teacup by spamming me, my editors, and writers.

I had to deal with someone who loved drama, spamming many people, to boost his ego. Someone who spread allegations on Medium and social media!

The owner of ILLUMINATION was labeled allegations.

Yes, owner of a publication that open doors to all writers.

Yes, owner of a publication who embraces diversity, inclusion, and equality in all walks of life.

The accused person is me.

In reality, the person who was calling me homophobic and bigot was only projecting his hidden homophobia and bigotry.

Without fact-checking a situation and creating allegations and hatred for a person is unacceptable.

Mind your own business

Telling how to run my publication without even reading a single article from it is also nonsense.

Bullying

I don’t tolerate bullies.

Zero tolerance!

My plan is to start legal actions against the bully defaming me, my publication, my editors, and writers.

Let me confirm publicly on my accusations

I like and respect all people with any sexual preference.

I have friends, colleagues, collaborators who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and several other genders. I dearly love them, and their sexual orientation have never been an issue for me. As one of my wise gay friends says, it is not my problem what people do in bed.

We are all unique and want to be respected for our sexual orientation. The person who attacked and harassed me publicly has no right to use my sexual preference against me.

I even sensed attacks towards my ethnic background, which is another story.

Creating allegations, provoking people, spreading hatred, attacking innocent editors do not serve the purpose of peace on this platform.

We should focus on real matters that hurt society rather than cosmetic and process issues.

Wasting Time

So I ended up consuming my valuable time dealing with drama and fake news today.

Some people project their prejudice on social media.

I am incredibly disappointed by attacks.

It was started just because of a story accidentally published. Our diligent editors took immediate action and rectified the situation with excellent professionalism.

But someone who did not like the story spammed many people and shocked the platform. It was a total drama.

So unnecessary and time-wasting.

The drama impacted 50+ writers who couldn’t handle the spamming.

We could have spent that valuable time by creating more meaningful work.

The whole day was spent with an urgency as if the entire sky was falling.

Just because of a single stupid article which we de-listed.

You may ask whether I learned anything valuable.

Yes, I learned a lot of lessons from a community I embrace.

Some inspiring and disappointing.

I will document them in a story later.

Protecting our publication

It is just nonsense to create allegations about ILLUMINATION.

A KEY MESSAGE FOR EQUALITY WRITERS

ILLUMINATION is home for every sexual orientation, ethnic background, religious background, and any other social and professional categories.

We see you a person, not your gender, religion, or ethnic background.

If anyone is daring to call ILLUMINATION as a homophobic publication, the person must be out of their mind.

Or they have evil purposes and hidden agendas.

Only ignorant cannot see obvious light.

Smart people may ask how can a homophobic publication can give voice to so many gay writers and promote stories of writers interested in LGBTQIA topic. Does it gel?

This is it from my tired brain and sore body caused by storm in a tea cup fueled with allegations on social media.

Each attack like this is blessing in disguise. They make us stronger and bring more readers of our publication!
