Victory for Medium Writers and Publications
Justice Occurred: I*H*.PR* Gone!
The site pirated Medium’s precious content shut down

This story is a piece of good news.
I usually write about problems, but this short story may uplift the spirit of my readers. I want to see a smile on the faces of my readers today.
You may have seen my post about stolen Medium content yesterday. It was a painful experience for all of us on this platform. It affected many writers and publications.
I am attaching the story to provide context to those who haven’t seen it yet.
As mentioned in the story, an enormous amount of content was stolen from Medium, translated into many languages and hosted in a site as a service.
It was heartbreaking to witness hundreds of devastated writers rightly experiencing strong emotions like disappointment, disgust, and rage due to enormous stolen content created on Medium belong to hard-working writers and supportive publications.
Serving ILLUMINATION publication as a leader, many of our writers approached me and requested my help to resolve the issue.
As mentioned in my story yesterday, I took prompt action by approaching the domain registrar of the site. I requested help to address this painful situation.
They took my correspondence seriously and notified me of the outcome.
I am pleased to inform you that the domain registrar took immediate action and removed the offending site.
The site is not accessible anymore.
This outcome is a victory for Medium writers and publications.
As writers, we are proactive to protect our intellectual property.
Removing an offensive site is a delightful win for writers, publications, and Medium.
However, we shouldn’t be complacent.
There may be many more sites stealing intellectual property.
We need to be vigilant and diligent to protect our content.
I recommend all writers to report copyright and plagiarism issues promptly.
As some writers referred, we must unite and fight back vigorously.
Medium is one of the largest content platforms on earth.
We have the power to transform situations to our favor.
All Medium writers and publications are metaphorical brothers and sisters as I referred to in my story yesterday. We are integrated, depend on each other as part of an ecosystem.
We need to use our power smartly with a unified approach.
Let’s collaborate and protect our valuable intellectual property.
