Discovery
John stumbled upon a village, relieved that he had finally found signs of human life. As he approached the huts, he noticed that it was a tribe of people who seemed to be going about their daily routines.
John didn’t know if they spoke English but approached them anyway. He waved his arms and called out for help, hoping they would understand his plight.
The Attack
Two men approached him from behind, and before he could turn around, they hit him hard on the back of his head. John fell to the ground, his vision blurring and his head throbbing with pain.
As he lay there, dazed and confused, he felt a presence looming over him. He opened his eyes and saw a silverback gorilla standing protectively over him. The gorilla bared its teeth and let out a menacing growl, warning the men to stay back.
John was amazed at the gorilla’s decision to help him. He had always heard stories of how intelligent and powerful gorillas were, but he had never seen one up close before. The gorilla seemed to understand that John was in trouble, and it was willing to protect him at all costs.
The men backed away, muttering and clearly afraid. John watched them disappear into the village, feeling grateful for the gorilla’s intervention.
Help
The gorilla helped John to his feet and led him away from the village. John stumbled behind him, trying to keep up as the gorilla bounded through the jungle.
After a while, they arrived at a small clearing. The gorilla sat down and started to peel some fruit, offering it to John. John was hesitant at first, but he was starving, and he knew that he needed to eat something if he was going to survive.
The pain in his head began to fade, and he felt a renewed sense of hope. The gorilla stayed with John for the next few days, feeding and protecting him from danger.
Despite its fearsome appearance, John was amazed at how gentle and caring the gorilla was. Over time, John’s strength began to return. He started to explore the surrounding area, hoping to find a way off the island.
Hope
One day, as John searched for food, he stumbled upon a small boat on the beach. It was old and battered, but it seemed to be seaworthy. John couldn’t believe his luck, he might actually be able to make it off the island after all.
He started to gather supplies, determined to fix up the boat and set sail.
As the days passed, John became more and more skilled at repairing the boat. He worked tirelessly, driven by his desire to return to civilization and reunite with his family.
Finally, after weeks of hard work, the boat was ready, but should he try to use it? Which way would he travel? John started to doubt himself, was this really a good idea, he felt his days were numbered on the island.
What happens next? Here are the two options:
