An Open Letter to My Recent Followers and Email Subscribers
It’s a pleasure to meet you
I’ve been thinking about this deeply.
Reason being, it’s been a great couple of weeks recently on Medium, some of the best I’ve ever had.
And, now I have a huge dilemma.
Tons of new people have found me, either as followers, or email subscribers, or both, and I’ve no idea how to stay in touch.
It seems we hit it off but now what?
So …
My first approach to “now what” will be to find out a little something something about each of you and reach out via this open letter.
Then I’m going to take a step back, wait, and see what happens. Who knows, maybe we’ll all become part of the same happy reader-writer-virtual friend family and keep in touch until the end of time.
Maybe some stories, that otherwise would be ignored, will get some additional attention.
Maybe nothing will happen.
But, there’s one way to find out.
Disclaimer: If bots and scammers are mixed into this happy salad, may a pox be upon you. To one of the new followers, who goes by the name Pectinate Line, that goes double for you.
Luke Burgis — Great last name. I like you already.
“Give a man a fire and he’s warm for the day, but set fire to him, and he’s warm for the rest of his life.” That’s a sizzling bio NanoNano1414
My first rapper follower, Ziplok. Suddenly I feel a pressure to rhyme.
Great minds thinking alike 😃. Bushra Khan and I are both comfortable being uncomfortable.
I’ve got a lot to learn from Andrew Johnson. “PLT” leads his bio and I don’t even know what that stands for.
Maybe it’s not in your wheelhouse, Brandt Amelia, but if you got some funny in ya please come write for Doctor Funny.
Near as I can tell, Raffey is one heck of a Medium unicorn, mostly a reader and a consummate comment writer.
Julian of Nor’Witch ~ Jessica Lowell Mason is a Medium newbie but posting cool stuff all the time.
Danni Michaeli, Psychiatrist, coming at medicine, life and writing from a perspective so different from my own. So intriguing.
Hi Shlee — When I saw your good news/bad news story I thought If Shlee ever decides to go full funny, then Doctor Funny has a potential new writer.
A “true believer in the power of talking about the hard stuff”, Jenn Johnson BScN RN selectively posts challenging stories.
Brian Mitchell and I both clap 50 times for every story we read. Read why he does it.
I thought I was prolific, then I wandered by Kelly Corinne Elliott’s spot on Medium.
Just as soon as I can focus I’m stopping back at Tamara Embrey’s place to brush up on mindfulness.
Best bio I’ve seen this month. The prize goes to Mihaela Dragu.
Asif — One name, many stories, billions of followers, all since September, 2023. Dude, what’s your secret?
Gönül Koç — YouTuber and more. Yet another niche I’ve never explored.
Hermione Wilds Writes — Editor, writer, book author.
Tech + nature + AI = Alex Rotar
From the bio of James Edward Young, “honest true life stories”.
Done for now.
Let’s see what happens.
In the mood for something different?
