An Epistle To Rupert Murdoch

Listen, Rupert, there is no denying Your enormous success, your power And prestige. Your influence, whether Poignant or poisonous, wafts over the Planet like perfume, or ferment. Your news- papers circulate Earth’s veins like heroin.

You helped spawn Brexit, and the Capitol Riots. You’ve turned facts like Climate Change and Covid 19 into party gossip and conspiracy speculation. You’ve turned strutting around in public without a mask on in the middle of a Pandemic into a heroic gesture.

With gifts like these, who am I to criticize you? I have only come to congratulate you and to tell you to take it easy in your old age, and to not let young passionate climate activists like Greta Thunberg get under your skin and stain your glorious exit from our burning globe.

You of all people, Rupert, deserve to rest in peace, smiling under your laurels, enjoying a private little laugh at so many willing victims to your ingenious machinations. Nobody has mastered the art of mis- information better than you, and nobody has better stoked the passion of fear, hatred, and prejudice.
