Which one is tastier — ‘Aloo parantha’ (Indian flatbread stuffed with a delicious spiced potato mixture) or the melt-in-mouth ‘makhhan’ (butter) —being indecisive — New Delhi, India [Image: Sanghita Pal]

PHOTOGRAPHY, FOOD, LIFE EXPERIENCE

Aloo Parantha is Pure Emotion Wrapped in Love

January Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Hometown Pride”

The Top Favorite Indian Breakfast Food

The mere smell is going to turn you crazy. You can have it anywhere, anyplace, anytime. And its versatility is simply mindblowing. Have it with yogurt, curry, tomato sauce, or any dip you can make or dream of. It is always scrumptious.

Yeah, I’m talking about aloo parantha (‘aloo’ is potato, and ‘parantha’ is Indian flatbread).

You get it in almost all food joints in India. And in Delhi, it’s like Delhi ka (Delhi’s) aan, baan, shaan (pride).

Weightwatchers, you don’t have to think too much about that. Just opt for the healthier version. Not trying it even once is considered ‘criminal’ (wink wink…)

Neverending gratitude Mary Chang Story Writer for such a beautiful and thought-provoking space.

Hearty thanks Sandi Parsons for the interesting January prompt.
