Allowing Life to Come to You

Day 23: Pulling opportunities to you rather than pushing to obtain them

Brilliant, beautiful sunlight is my teacher. It streamed through the slits in our garden fence and gate this morning. I greeted the light, as it’s my favorite light each day. I await these sunbeams saying hello as they pass through the narrow cracks of the wood. Noticing all the beauty of life is what I am enjoying most on this path. Each day for 100 days, I am exploring the lessons in the book The Infinite Self by Stuart Wilde.

Pulling toward you all that you need is a gentle, flowing way of life. Pushing is like going against a current in a stream. It is a lesson that I need to learn often. Often we think we need to keep pushing forward, we struggle, we lean, we yearn, and we hope. What if there was a better way to use our precious energy?

Most of the power that you have is internal. As you garner power, you can pull to you all that you need. Rather than pushing to tell people about the product, service or knowledge that you’re selling, just allow them to come to you. It’s so much easier when you allow life to come to you. In pushing, you tend to move things away from you.

I have experienced times in my life where I pushed too much. I was yearning so much for something that I pushed it away. I have learned over time to give things some space if the energy doesn’t feel right. I used to think that I needed to be on every social media channel and try every marketing tool out there. Soon, I spread myself too thin, and I wasn’t communicating what I had to offer. I was pushing and leaning in too much. Instead of listening to my inner self, I was taking in too much outside of myself.

Knowing that all that I need is in my inner energy, I can be free to create. I can be free to share and be of service. When I find the balance of inner peace, I can make offers. It is akin to being a shining beacon of light, gently guiding people, resources, and opportunities to you. You are full of possibility and hope.

Understand that when you have a problem, the solution is internal, and the healing is internal. You don’t have to shove and push to make things happen. The more you don’t shove and push, the more you begin to affirm that the power inside of you is valid and real. Not only do you get the benefit of the fact that you stop struggling, but you also benefit from the fact that your serenity, and inner knowing becomes an affirmation of itself. It becomes a self-perpetuating energy. -Stuart Wilde

These are the perfect lessons for me today. Lately, for some reason, I have felt immense pressure from my mind to push more, to do more, to struggle more. On the other side are my inner self and my inner power. Those tell me to slow down, to let go, to know that everything will work out in the end. The gentle voice is quiet and soft. The mind can get quite loud. Part of me knows that I am creating an inner turmoil. The gentle voice says to let go. I am starting to listen to my inner voice.

I know today I am beginning to be off-balance. I am too much in my mind and not in my body and inner energy. Regaining that balance means doing my daily practice today, and then walking away. Taking time to recenter yourself is the key to pulling and not pushing in life. Soon I will take some time off from my business. I will still do my daily practice of writing. I will create a little bit each day. However, I know that from the start of lockdown, I have been pushing a lot. In this time of summer, I am seeking renewal, sunlight, and rest. These will bring me back to my heart and my inner knowing.

Understand that the power is there and you can move it. You can project love, healing and resonableness. You can stand tall in silence and just move energy around like a lighthouse. So begin to think in terms of eliminating struggle in your life. -Stuart Wilde

My prayer and intention for you today is that you look at where you are pushing in life. Is there a way for you to pull resources, people, and opportunities to you instead? I wish you abundance, light, and love on your path today and always. Know that you have all that you need to create.

How can you pull resources, people and opportunities to you today?
