Allah to Christians: Don’t Say “Three.” Stop it!

Is Islam intolerant for preaching against saying “Merry Christmas”? And does tolerance mean acceptance?

In the 2019 Christmas celebrations, Netflix rendered Christians a laughing-stock of others; its film, The first Temptations of Christ, mocked the Trinity, depicted Jesus as gay and Mary as a weed smoker.

Over two million people petitioned online for the film’s removal. Netflix tried to shut up the opposition by characterizing them as homophobic, a serious accusation that may lead to jail or job loss if convicted.

I always tell my Christian friends that there is nothing equivalent to “The first Temptations of Christ” in the Muslim world. Despite the documented differences between Islam and Christianity, Muslim countries don’t allow the media to mock Christians as it’s likely to breed hostility and sow the seeds of hatred among people.

But Christians in Muslim-majority countires cannot critisize Islam and Mohammed.

True. But do we force you to teach Islam and Mohammed to your children? Do we force our Islamic curriculum on your Bible schools? Do we interfere in how you raise your children and live your life?

Look at what happened to this UK Christian teacher after posting on Facebook against the LGBTQ curriculum:

And this CEO of a video game company stepped down after he tweeted his support for the Texas abortion law, as reported by the Washington Post.

Where is the so-called free speech when you get fired for expressing your personal views on social media?! Why can’t liberals be honest about it? Why are they dumbly arrogant to admit that freedom of speech has limits when it comes to liberal values?

And this Christian biologist lost his job for not accepting evolution!

Nathaniel Abraham, an Indian national who describes himself as a “Bible-believing Christian,” said in the suit filed on Monday in U.S. District Court in Boston that he was fired in 2004 because he would not accept evolution as scientific fact.

If you watch the “Expelled” documentary, you will know that Abraham is not alone.

A Proud History of Tolerance

In the Muslim world, we don’t have this hypocrisy. Instead, we draw a solid line between Tolerance and Acceptance. We say loudly, clearly, and proudly that Islam is the singular truth. We don’t allow this truth to be mocked or distorted in the name of free speech. At the same time, we don’t force it down people’s throats.

Trinity is a lie about God. It’s mathematically impossible and rationally incoherent to say that there can be three persons in one being or one being that exists in three different persons.

The Prophet Muhammed allowed Christians to pray in his mosque. And when Christians invited his companion Umar to pray in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, he declined for fears that those Muslims who come after him might treat the place as a mosque and take it away from the Christians.

This is Egypt’s revolutionary flag in 1919. It has a crescent and cross to show that Muslims and Coptic Christians are united against the British occupation of their country.

Those who claim that Islam was spread by force should ask themselves: if the Copts have been living under oppression since the Muslim conquest, why did they fight the British hand in hand with the Muslims of Egypt? Why didn’t they cooperate with the British occupation? This flag implies a long history of harmony and co-existence and a healthy relationship between the two communities.

Professor of Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University, David J. Wasserstein, has a beautiful saying about the history of Islam and Judaism.

Had Islam not come along, Jewry in the west would have declined to disappearance and Jewry in the east would have become just another oriental cult

The same can be said about the Copts and other Christians living in the Muslim world.

But Tolerance Doesn’t Mean Acceptance.

When a man asked the Prophet: “I have two neighbors, to whom should I send my gifts?” He answered: “To the one whose door is nearer to you.” Clearly, from the wording of the Hadith, it doesn’t matter whether the one with whom you exchange gifts is a Muslim — and it shouldn’t matter if the one you share a community mailbox with is Muslim, either.

Does that mean we are allowed to send Christmas gifts to our Christian neighbors? No. While we must let them celebrate, we should not join them because we approve of the Trinity and misguide them from God’s way.

Trinity is a lie about God. It’s mathematically impossible and rationally incoherent to say that there can be three persons in one being or one being that exists in three different persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

If God has a son, he’s a human being like us. Where’s His wife? In Quran(6:101), we read:

the Creator of the heavens and earth! How could He have children when He has no spouse, when He created all things, and has full knowledge of all things

Father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister — these are all human relations. God doesn’t need to be present in this world physically. His nature is beyond human relations.

And in (112,3-4):

He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.

Allah, a grammatically masculine word, is the Arabic name for God. Grammatical gender is determined by language convection, not by physiology.

While ‘Him’ and ‘He’ negate the sexual neutrality in the English language, they are the only possible English translation for the Arabic word “huwa” mentioned in the Quran. “Huwa” doesn’t carry the same biological connotation that ‘he’ does in English. In English, using ‘he’ for something without natural gender connotes personification, but not in Arabic.

Therefore Allah is not a man or woman, male or female, human or animal. We can’t see Allah with our finite perception and abilities. He is beyond our imagination.

“Best” Vs. “Worst” Manners

Our duty towards our Christian neighbors on Christmas day is to remind them that the Bible has been corrupted. “Stop it” is God’s response to Trinity, as in Quran(4:171):

Believe in Allah and His Messengers. Do not say “Three”. Stop it. That is good for you. Allah is the only One God. He is far too pure to have a son. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. And Allah is enough to trust in.

The question that arises here:

If Muslims believe that Christians must “stop it.” Why are Christians allowed to teach Trinity to their children in Muslim countries?

It’s because the Quran explicitly states, ‘There shall be no compulsion in religion.” And the Prophet has been repeatedly told in the Quran that his task is to deliver the message and not to force it down their throats: “Let those who choose to believe, believe; and let those who choose to disbelieve, disbelieve.”

Delivering God’s message should be done in the best possible manner, meaning Muslims should not mock or insult Christians. No drawing of funny caricatures of priests and nuns.

Invite (people) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good counsel. And argue with them in the best of manners. Surely, your Lord knows best the one who deviates from His way, and He knows best the ones who are on the right path. Quran(16:25)

After 200 years of liberalism, Christianity is heading to decline and disappearance in the West. Liberals argue with the worst possible manners to force Christians to accept the liberal lifestyle. There is no dialog at all when it comes to core liberal values such as individual and sexual liberty, abortion, and evolution.
