Basic Courteous Engagement

All You Had to Do Was Say “Sorry”

That’s it; pretty simple

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you chose to rationalize your actions.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you chose to tell me that I was mistaken.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you made excuses and chose to talk about how busy and important you are.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you made like it was an inconvenience for you to have to respond.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you questioned my intelligence and intent.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you said that is the way you always do things, and implied that I should get used to it.

All you had to do was say sorry. Instead you told me that everyone else was okay with your actions and it has never been a problem.

All you had to do was say sorry.

That was it.

You didn’t do the barest minimum of respectful decency.

And that is just sorry.
