Summary

The article discusses the detrimental effects of shunning and divisiveness in society, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and forgiveness for societal health and progress.

Abstract

The author reflects on a childhood lesson about the harm of shunning others, drawing a parallel to the current societal crisis characterized by continuous turmoil and division. The article argues that the act of shunning, whether by individuals, media, or political leaders, is a root cause of societal problems, fostering an environment of Godlessness, fear, and entitlement. It suggests that a Godly society is inclusive and forgiving, contrasting this with a Godless society that thrives on drawing lines of superiority. The piece criticizes the media and educational system for promoting divisiveness instead of ethical principles and true understanding. It calls for individuals and leaders to embrace forgiveness, reject the culture of fault-finding and ostracization, and align with principles that foster unity and wisdom. The author invites readers to engage in self-reflection and to consider the impact of their actions on society, advocating for a clean slate approach to interactions and leadership.

Opinions

  • Shunning others is equated with hatred and is seen as contrary to the teachings of a Godly society.
  • The media's prioritization of profit over ethics contributes to societal division and Godlessness.
  • Entitlement and the belief in one's superiority over others are indicative of a downfallen society.
  • The act of mocking or shunning the least members of society demonstrates weakness, not strength.
  • The educational system's focus on knowledge without moral grounding leads to the teaching of corrupted principles.
  • True strength lies in inclusivity and the ability to forgive, which are essential for societal progress.
  • Leaders who incite confusion and divisiveness are considered the lowest forms of human life.
  • Forgiveness is crucial, and individuals should not be perpetually judged by their past transgressions.
  • Society must resist the temptation to align with the majority at the expense of ethical behavior.
  • The author believes that most people are too proud to do what is right and that this pride is detrimental to society.

All Problems in Society Start When it Becomes Justifiable to Shun Any Other Member Within that Same Society.

We are all guilty of doing it!

“When one shuns, one hates; therefore, when one shuns any other, one is not of God.” I had heard this from my pastor when I was eight when a group of kids had asked me not to talk to the new, weird girl in class. He was right, and I have recently thought about that lesson in light of today’s sobering crisis-after-crisis society.

Think about the ramifications of being told it is okay to shun anyone. Though quite a powerful tool a group can use against someone, it works out that it is bad for all of us.

Why, you might ask? Reading many of the great books of Western Civilization, one lesson is taught continuously throughout their pages:

All problems in a society start when it becomes justifiable to shun any other member within that same society. And so, when leaders of a society mock leaders of a different political party, there can be no hope for that society, for hatred has already taken root within the political system, and nothing can come from it but fear and unfettered competition.

Entitled citizens lead to a downfallen society. We are entitled when we begin to think it is our right and privilege to feel better than others. When we feel we are so well put together, we automatically have begun the process of delineation between what makes a good person and what doesn’t.

When we go so far as to mock, show disdain for, or to shun even the least members of a society — instead of indicating a form of strength, we wind up only proving to others how weak we truly are. When we get others to do so, we are proving just why our society is faltering and has become dangerously divided. Much within big tech, the internet, and our media show these same attitudes:

When a society’s media has determined that making money is more important than following an ethical basis, mocking and shunning appeals to the lowest (and therefore largest) audience. Instead of promoting growth, they contribute only to Godlessness, fear, and they promote a feeling of permissive entitlement to members of that society that it is justifiable to shun and deride others.

An important difference between Godliness and Worldliness is a Godly society is all inclusive, while a Godless society draws lines for the purpose of proving one is better than the others. It comes down to a matter of love and security versus fear and unfettered competition. Worldliness means you immediately become part of the problem, not the solution. This world is not the way you want to go nowadays. Just look around you. Find a better example in which to align your principles, whatever it might be.

We may not believe in God, but we certainly need Him.

Our school system is now locked into seeking knowledge without a basis in principle or morality. Thinking they are progressive, they have lost touch with their true value, and are under the spell of something greater, such as Adam and Eve had been when they pursued unbridled knowledge.

Despite what they may profess, they rather wind up teaching only how to shun and how to scorn others. You cannot rewrite an entire history of mankind so that it suits a newer purpose and becomes something other than what it is: a true history that already speaks volumes for itself when left unfettered. They are teaching children how they should draw lines and when you try to do this, you wind up teaching nothing but corrupted principles, derision for others, Godlessness, fear, and meantime, you are also catering to the lowest possible humanist traits.

Change is simple and only requires each member of a society to begin to accept and to love all other members within that society. No reason is acceptable to do otherwise.

Those who lead others into hysteria, confusion, and divisiveness are the weakest forms of life on the planet. Media and the school of popular opinion beware. These attitudes proliferate today and that is why we are in some of the darkest times humanity has known.

If there is corruption then route it out on both sides. If there is only a difference of opinion, then iron it out! But right now the media and many communities are only about finding fault, condemnation, ostracization, and finding ways to enrage their audiences.

God has been very clear — forgive others no matter how much they have done so long as they have repented. Judge a man by his actions today, not yesterday. We currently have forgotten all about this and thus, have become Satan’s playground.

Imagine if others always held you accountable for each one of your past transgressions without the chance to see you for who you are now. When we look back in history and see our past leaders only for their sins and not for the totality of their life’s achievements, then we are guilty of creating hysteria.

True strength cannot oblige a dependency upon lesser humanist traits. We atone to a higher calling when we start from a clean slate for ourselves and allow the same in our view of others. We must choose to disbelieve all evidence thrown at us so that we can learn to see all issues and all others for ourselves, and not as the crowd believes. Then, and only then, are we true leaders.

Those who lead others into confusion, hysteria, and anger for the sake of their own side, are the lowest forms of human life on the planet. Remember that always.

Be a leader today. For one day, be more than you thought you could be. You will not be popular but you may change the world!

Question: how do you forgive someone when they keep causing you hardship due to their ignorance which is based upon their need to be part of the pack?

How do you forgive when you know with certainty that they are unable to do what is best for many others because they do not want to appear weak to the majority?

Post your response below, if you will.

Think about if you were able to apply your answer to your work environment. Would this resolution help your team, if they were to be given an exercise meant to further their understanding and wisdom?

Now, let’s say we were able to apply your response above to our country and to all of its leaders at this time. If made to increase their wisdom and understanding, would your response help leaders of our two parties work together as one, even if they could not agree on answers to all of the issues?

Or, thinking about it, do you believe that most people are too proud to do what’s right? If you feel this is the case, please comment as well.
