All About Me
From Motown Girl To World Traveler

I was born and raised on the east side of Detroit and educated in the Detroit Public School System. I graduated from Michigan State University, where I met my future husband. We were married in 1980 (You do the math).

It was at Michigan State that I discovered my love for international travel. I did my student teaching at the International School of Brussels in Brussels, Belgium. I lived in Brussels and traveled to other European countries for three months during my junior year. I have been blessed and fortunate to have traveled to many other countries. I aim to travel to all seven continents; I have three continents left. I lived and taught school in Cairo, Egypt, for three years, a few years before retirement.

I have two daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. They are the joy of my life!
My Daughters

The home we’ll always miss because our girls grew up there…

No, it’s not Michigan! Every few years, Charlotte, NC, would get heavy snowfall. Sometimes the snow would last a week. Schools are closed, you can’t get milk or bread, and the city shuts down. So much fun! We had a long driveway, so it was sledding and snowmen. It was a great reminder of Michigan and why we left! Winter just lasted too long there.
My life goals: To be happy and add joy to the lives of others, travel to each of the seven continents, and leave a meaningful legacy for my daughters and grandchildren.
This is my life. Thanks for reading!
