I can’t stop recommending your books
I was a fantasy and science fiction reader.
Then came TikTok with its book recommendations, #booktok. I found Ali Hazelwood*, who opened my eyes to contemporary romances. I’m still in a romance reading bubble, although I occasionally read fantasy or sci-fi.
The reasons why we read are different. If you read to be entertained, captivated, engaged, happy, relaxed, and recharged, pick up these four books by Ali Hazelwood.

Ali Hazelwood, I admire how catchy your writing is
On her website, Ali Hazelwood says “I’m originally from Italy, lived in Japan and Germany, and eventually moved to the US to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. I recently became a professor, which absolutely terrifies me.”
To summarize: there is a girl from Italy and Germany with a doctorate in neuroscience and who is a professor who writes my favorite books. Isn’t that amazingly impressive?
Stories within STEM
Her books are (so far) love stories with a female lead who works or studies within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and academia.
These are charming slow-burn romances and her writing is appealing, inspiring, and funny.
The Love Hypothesis
Nominated for Best Romance of 2021 in the Goodreads Choice Award. There is no doubt that this book should have won.

Love, Theoretically
Elsie Hannaway is a poorly paid theoretical physicist. To make ends meet, she also works as a fake girlfriend. One day she finally has the opportunity to get a really good job. The problem is that the hiring committee includes the experimental physicist Jack Smith, the brother of her favorite fake-dating client. He has long spoken down on Elsie’s field (theoretical physics) and does not seem to have a positive attitude towards Elisie (his brother’s “girlfriend”) either.
