Alert Writers, Stop Saying That You Are Not Writing For Money
No matter you are a millionaire or billionaire everyone loves money
Hello Medium writers,
I am reading most of the stories that are written about Medium and the earnings of writers. I know everyone did that. I did it because for me money is my biggest motivation.
When I read that people are making 5 figure income from Medium, it inspires me like no one else. If others can do, I can also do. Honestly speaking, I am a writer who wants money. I don’t want to hide my real motivation.
When I started writing on Medium, my only motto was to learn writing because I was new to this field and I want to be a professional writer. I didn’t know about the Medium partnership program earlier. When I came to know about MPP, I was curious and I too want to make some money.
Therefore, I joined the program and start writing. As I said earlier, I never wrote before so I was making cents only. Believe me, those cents were my biggest motivation. I just want to keep writing as long as I making anything no matter it’s pennies or dollars.
I keep doing this for almost a year and finally Medium handed me a $50 bonus in June. My hard work paid me off.
I don’t like when people say they don’t write for money. I know there are many who want to learn then earn. However, when you getting dollars no one wants to say no.
However, this is reasonable too. If you are doing something hard, then you should get paid. This is the way how the system works. So, why do we writers feel hesitate when it comes to money.
If we are writing from hard work then we deserve money too. So, ask for your hard work.
Money is helping me to write more and this is a great thing. Money is helping me anyway so, it’s something that I shouldn’t be looking for.
I use money as my motivation booster. I read so many writers who mentioned in their article that they don’t write for money. However, they still post the story about their earnings.
Everyone loves money. I too love money. However, I believe that money should be your goal however not the ultimate goal. You need to make learning an ultimate goal. If you learn more there is always a chance of earning more. Here, I just want to tell you that I use money as my motivator and there is nothing wrong with this.
