After My First Month And 18 Articles On Medium, What I’ve Earned?
It's better than YouTube.
Never in my wildest dreams I imagined this!
As a newbie, not only did I survive a month on Medium, but I also wrote 18 articles, and a few more are being looked at by different publications — all in just 30 days!
On July 29, I came across an article on the medium in which the writer mentioned all those passive earning techniques she uses to earn from the internet as a side hustle.
I found an article that was different from the thousands of fake ‘get rich quick’ schemes online. It was about writing on Medium and creating an eco-system around it and even it had real earnings screenshots from Medium, Gumroad, and Substacks.
I was engrossed and halfway through when, suddenly, I hit a paywall. It was just a dollar for a week, and the first month was free, so without a second thought, I signed up.
The sign-up process was easy and quick, and I dove right back in. One article led to another, and before I knew it, I was on a reading marathon that night.
The next day, I was all geared up to write an article on a random topic and give it a chance. I was still in the free month, so I had nothing to lose.
First Story
My first story was How AI Automation Agency is Making Millions?
On the first day, I got 14 views, which I thought was pretty good since I didn’t have any followers and I didn’t know anything about SEO.
By the end of the first week, I had published 2 stories and had a total of 88 views.
First Buck
During that first week, Medium also announced a new policy for their Partner Program. According to the new rules, I could start earning money right away.
This gave me some motivation and I wrote my third story on a viral topic which was chatGPT’s new update. When I woke up the next day I couldn’t believe it. Even though it was just $2.20, it was a start. Making money from just 58 views on my article was a huge confidence boost.
Now after 18 stories and 1355 views later I’ve earned $13.80 in 30 days.

You Just Need One Article
I had read stories from many writers saying that one viral article can change everything and bring in almost half of your monthly income.
The same happened to me, My article — Key Points From Every Article That Made $100 and Went Viral grabbed many eyeballs from paying audiences and earned me almost half of my entire month's income.
All Days Are Not The Same
While I had success in the middle of the month, I struggled to get views in the latter half of the month.
This could be because I was still figuring out what my niche area was.
Second Month’s Goal
Who knew? One month, 170 followers, and a whopping $13.80 richer. I’m basically the J.K. Rowling of Medium now! Jokes aside, knowing that I’ve got a small but eager audience has lit a fire under me.
I’m pumped to keep this writing train rolling on Medium and see where this adventure takes us.
My next goal would be doubling down on what worked for me in my first month and engaging more with fellow writers!!
