Affirmations For the Digital Age

Take charge of your technological life before it takes charge of you

Many of us practice daily affirmations to benefit our higher selves, with far too little attention given to our online selves.

With that in mind, here is a series of daily affirmations you can use to strengthen and sanctify your digital experience.

How to use these affirmations

We have many options in the post-millennial era, and it’s best to follow all of them.

While traditional affirmations are either spoken aloud or written repeatedly in a journal, affirmations for the digital age should be read into a speech-to-text program and emailed to each of your active email addresses.

They should also be typed onto a tablet and posted to a minimum of five social media platforms, copied and pasted into a blog, and for those with dedication, spelled out in a game of Words With Friends.

Lastly, always enter your digital affirmations into your phone and text them back to yourself. Then, see what the universe has to offer: simply type in a random number and text them everything too.

The results may surprise you! At worst, you’ll just be blocked. At best (and we always visualize the best), you’ll form a soul connection with a new friend.

Here’s a list to get you started:

  • My email contains only positive energy.
  • My Twitter followers grow and grow effortlessly because I am just that awesome.
  • I am more than an Instagram influencer. I am a life influencer!
  • My Facebook page is a place of peace and reason. Thoughtful conversation enriches all lives.
  • No news is good news. I do not need to read every piece of the latest news. I am stronger than that.
  • Low battery life happens to other people. Not to me. My battery life is as enduring as I am.
  • Power outlets are in abundance. Whether at the airport or the coffee shop, I always have a place to plug in.
  • I don’t need to binge-watch. I can quit whenever I want.
  • I follow every new friend as they would follow me, be it on Facebook, Twitter, or even MySpace.
  • Remember MySpace?
  • Spoilers flow past me without notice.
  • I will catch up on all my podcasts before subscribing to another.
  • I am bigger than any troll and they can do me no harm.
  • I can sit through a meal without picking up my phone. At the very least, I can sit longer than my date.
  • Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed. Buzzzzzzzffffeeeeeed…!
  • I am at peace with the world and the world is at peace with me ever since I blocked Uncle Dan.
  • Quality memes flow through me like a river. Easily and effortlessly.
  • I am viral — the good kind. The kind that gets endorsement deals.

Manifest the best. You’re worth it.

You’re being proactive and taking control of your bodily life, so why ignore your digital life? These days, it’s as real as anything else.

I read that somewhere online.

Namaste.
