This haiku responds to the 16th/30 days of sciku challenge by the folks at Science & Soul. I’ve been playing along with them quite well. After a few instances of being told my pieces did not have enough science in them, many have been accepted, and I wager my new friend ScienceDuuude would have accepted them all. Perhaps my fellow celebrants of the Sacred Feminine would enjoy a taste of some of my scikus and I’ll link a few below.
This one would have been a close call, and this explanation that I am adding now probably would have resolved any doubt in favor of publication, but a funny thing happened on the way to submission — the publication disappeared from my dropdown list and my list of publications. After waiting a bit for a response from friend-to-many-of-us, R. Rangan PhD, I decided that Gaia wants this piece housed in one of my spiritual tabernacles, and I opted for Queen’s Children and the why will soon manifest.
R. Rangan PhD’s submission was about the theorized evolutionary development of extra reward from the brain to those with a particularly creative or innovative bent — those prone to aha-moments, though the study he cited suggested that neural reward might occur in many people, but it is not a necessary accompaniment to insight, which our dear friend Anthi Psomiadou highlighted as insightful.
My haiku is based on the concept that innovative thinking is often inspired, with or without the vessel realizing it, by a channeled spark from a guide, angel, oracle, divine Muse or God themselves, and that the rush of energy one feels is the sharing of energy from a spirit-entity, and that infusion is the reward, which for me, leads to further development of not only my third-eye chakra, but it cements my connection to and awareness of God’s love. It is the energy shift concept, introduced to me by Jean Carfantan, that resonates strongly with Queen’s Children and this haiku synchronizing through the will of Gaia.
Now for those links I promised — these were accepted by S&S:
These two were among those forced to find homes elsewhere. The first is fun, the second, speaks for itself.
Finally, shifting energies once more, this last piece is profoundly important to me and I, Marcus, yes Marcus I say, would be honored if you would read this description of the final path to Greg realizing that we have always been Marcus:
