Accepting Where You Are on the Path

Day 2: Loving right where you are is the key to going forward

As I stepped into the misty morning today on my walk, I couldn’t help but smile knowing the spirit force was in my heart and I was exactly where I needed to be at that moment. Today is day 2 on my 100 day journey learning, growing and becoming through the beautiful book: Infinite Self by Stuart Wilde. Every day I am exploring new lessons from this book on my path.

Today I learned that truly accepting with all of my heart that where I am right now in my life is exactly what is needed for stepping further down the road in my life. Before this, I used to be more of a planner. I would think very far ahead and do lots of wishing and hoping that I’d get there. Now, I still plan, but I just plan the week ahead. I tune in to my feelings and my inner guidance to show me the next steps to take. I am amazed by what shows up every day to lead me further and further into my dreams. This way of life is truly how it feels best to live. To know and trust that I am where I need to be, that the path that lies ahead will show me how to best navigate my life if I choose to trust.

I love what Stuart Wilde says about accepting where you are in life. It leads to great freedom and great discovery:

The second move in this process is to respect the evolution you find yourself in, which means accepting where you find yourself. Fighting against or becoming your circumstances, crying over the fact that you are not as privileged as others, crying because you are privileged and perhaps spoiled, being upset because you don’t have all the physical strength or knowledge you think you need- all that is wasted energy, and disrespectful of the spiritual you. It’s pointless, self indulgent and weak. -Stuart Wilde

Accepting that where I am is exactly where I need to be for my spirit to evolve is the key to understanding where I need to go from here. I am more than my circumstances and I can overcome any obstacle along the path as it comes along. When you don’t accept where you are, you are worrying about the large rock that may or may not be further ahead, when in that moment a beautiful butterfly has flown right in front of your eyes. When we complain about where we are, we are not honoring who we are and how far we have come so far.

Enjoying the present moment brings you into a beautiful acceptance of where you are and the spirit within. I have made a pact to always go for my morning garden walk. This morning it was very dewy and misty. I could have chosen to stay inside, but since I had a contract with myself and accept all weather, I went for my walk anyway. I delighted in the fresh mist in the air, saw that my roses have started to bloom again, thanked the earth for watering the plants and went on my merry way.

The mist was a gift. The light spray of moisture in the air lead to my enjoyment of the verdant green of the garden and the grass I stepped upon. I accepted the mist. I accepted the breeze. I accepted the deep love and joy in my heart.

Loving where you are and who you are is so powerful. It brings you into a state of joy. Today during my morning stroll I felt so invigorated, enjoying every step as though it was the best route I had ever traveled. I felt an enormous beautiful spirit power deep in my heart. I was smiling with a deep inner light the whole way. Deeply knowing, trusting and believing is a path to joy. Each footfall on this path creates a mark on the cobblestones of the way to destiny. It is the way to truly open your heart and remain open for whatever may show up.

Once the God Force is inside you, and you can begin to accept the infinity within, your power grows-Stuart Wilde

This is a benevolent and beautiful power, not a power of the ego. It seeks to help you move up with a pure heart and a joyful spirit. One of sharing, helping and listening. One of knowing that we are all one, we are all interconnected, we are all one in the same. What lifts you up lifts me up. I am here for you, you are here for me. If I find my infinite self you will too. That is my prayer for you today.

Do you accept with joy right where you are today?
