About the Editor: “Self” Challenge
Mary Chang’s Six Word Photo Stories: “Self”
This January, I challenged writers to capture photos that feature themselves to start off the new year. I asked them, “tell me what makes you shine, spark, laugh, play, create, and empower — the real you.” It was a beautiful way to get to know the writers through this publication and I’m grateful to writers for sharing themselves this month and publishing with Six Word Photo Story Challenge.
A few of the writers got hooked on the January “Self” challenge and visited nostalgia lane like Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, who published several “Self” stories, and others made their own “Who Am I Bio” by compiling their six word photo “Self” stories, like adventurer Anne Bonfert.
This is a collection of my own “Self” challenge stories — a quick glimpse into the editor behind this addictive publication and the person I am through photos and stories on fitness, inspiration, perseverance, and play.
If you’re new to Medium or this publication, the stories will give you an idea of what I’m looking for in terms of layout and formatting.
If you know me in person or here on Medium, you’ll know that I love creating monthly challenges through writing, photography, and fitness!
Writers, feel free to create your own collection of “Self” stories and add them to your bio on “About Me Stories”, your personal bio, or pin them to your profile page.
Stay tuned for the February challenge, which will be published Tues, Feb 1, 2022!
