Have You Tried Superhero Pose? Be Wonder Woman in 2 Minutes!
January Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Self”
Standing strong to boost my confidence.
Standing like Wonder Woman or Superman can change your emotional state of mind, alter your biochemistry and boost your confidence.
The superhero stance increases testosterone in the bloodstream which can increase assertive behavior in performance. This power pose also lowers cortisol in the bloodstream — the stress hormone.
With the combination of these two things, research indicates that people may be more likely to take action such as “putting yourself out there” rather than sitting in the comfort zone — as the fear and self-doubt have been lessened (testosterone increase/reduction of cortisol) after using this simple stance technique.
