No, I am not a super hero. No, I don’t live inside of a comic book. But yes, to many of you, you may have met me before on this platform.

Maybe to many of you, this is our first time meeting so with that being said… Hello There!

My name is Noah Nelson, and this is an updated About Me Story. A lot has changed since the first one, so what’re we waiting for?

Short Bio About Myself

I stand at 6’1 so I am not short physically by any means. But I will keep my bio short and sweet for the sake of this writing.

Born and raised in the small town of Taylorville, Illinois, I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2022 with a degree in journalism and minors in history and political science.

I am continuing my education now in my favorite twin cities of Urbana-Champaign at my Alma mater pursuing a master’s degree in journalism with the goal to graduate in May 2024.

Outside of the classroom, I can be found sipping cocktails or wine with friends, playing acoustic guitar, reading, cooking, traveling, learning something new on YouTube, listening to music, and attending as many live concerts as I can.

And I can also be founding typing away at yet another story… and yes, on Medium too!

My Medium Journey

I dove into the deep waters of Medium in Feb. 2021 not knowing much about the platform outside of the fact I would be able to write, gain an audience, and earn money.

Much trial and tribulation followed. I wrote articles that didn’t earn too many views or money. That’s okay.

I was learning and gaining experience.

And I still am to this day. Since then, I’ve written some of my best articles to date. Here’s a few of my favorites:

Goals on Medium

I plan to continue writing on Medium in 2024 and beyond. I enjoy being able to write about my interests and meet new people along the way.

I’m not sure what my future with Medium will be, but the platform has been great to me so far. I have high hopes it’ll stay like this for a long time.
