Bio
Welcome to my page!
Born in Ventura, California, and currently residing in the Philippines.
I am married with two lovely kids.
In 1974, My parents decided to fly to the United States to work there and live a better life. My dad was a recognized Certified Public Accountant both in the Philippines and the State of California.
My mom took up medical school in Manila and served briefly as a nurse assistant — and later decided to become a stay-at-home mom.
Time flew so fast until my parents realized that my eldest brother and two sisters were all grown-ups. They mutually agreed to return home here in the Philippines to raise the family based on our local culture and Filipino ways.
Fast forward, I grew up in the rural hometown of my father and transferred to the metro when I was around eight years old.
At that time, our family business prospered — and I enjoyed the luxury of it until I graduated from high school.
I graduated with two college degrees because I sucked on the first one and did not take it seriously.
Like anybody here, I am an ordinary guy who once stumbled and went through several trials in life. I have experienced being bullied, rejected, and broken. I was into drugs and caught up with many vices.
But by God’s grace, I have been saved. If not for Him — I won’t be writing here today. I claimed victory upon surrendering my life to our Lord Jesus Christ in 2006.
I was able to see hope again upon passing the CPA board examinations. And one of the milestones that I would cherish is I have met the woman I would marry.
Everyone has a story to tell — and most of the time, we get lost because we get so immersed in the world — in the success defined by the world.
And sometimes, I still feel guilty when I lose focus when my mind has a lot of material stuff.
Along with my journey, I realize that everything is a process — and there is no way to skip it. We see a lot of quotes — but it would only resonate once we experience them.
- Life is short — and we need to accept it.
- God’s mind has no boundaries — and we cannot decode His reasons because our mind is limited.
- We should live a purpose-driven life to experience fulfillment
These entire lessons got to me when my father and brother passed away last 2008 and year 2010, respectively.
Life is not perfect — but I will continuously decide to strive and take that daily walk with Him.
This decision I will take until I am breathing.
In terms of Maslow’s five-tier model of human needs, I am now enjoying the blessings of basic needs.
My family, loved ones, close friends, and people at work have been showing me with love and the esteem I need.
I am now 41 and excited to maximize my full potential as I embark on my self-actualization needs.
