A World Without Right Angles

Is that the secret?

Rhiannon was sitting on a park bench in deep meditation in the large nature park just outside the city. It was a warm sunny day and the air was filled with earthy smells and birdsong.

But Rhiannon was unaware of everything around her. She was not even aware of her body. Her awareness had stepped into a different dimension and her focus was on that other world.

She had first discovered that other world a few weeks before and ever since she tried to go there every day. It was a much nicer world than the world she inhabited when her eyes were open.

Today she had no idea how long she had been in that other world. When she transcended dimensions time seemed to stop. Slowly coming back into her body she took some deep breaths then opened her eyes. She was surprised to see her friend Monique sitting on the bench on the other side of the footpath.

She rubbed the palms of her hands together to further wake up her body then she smiled.

Monique stood up and came over to the bench Rhiannon was sitting on, “I was going for a walk when I saw you sitting on this bench. When I saw you meditating, or whatever you were doing, I decided not to interrupt you so I sat over there waiting. I don’t know how long you were doing it before I got here but I waited for almost half an hour. So what were you doing?”

Rhiannon arched her spine and stretched her muscles, “Well yeah, I was meditating. Do you meditate?”

“I tried a couple of times but I never understood what the point was. I didn’t know what I was supposed to be thinking of.”

“Well, the point is to not think; to silence all the noise in our head and go beyond thinking. See, our brains are constantly thinking. Not only is it constantly getting sensory input from our surroundings to think about but it’s always thinking about past memories or it is worrying about future events. We also have these tracks of internal mental dialogue that play incessantly in loops in the brain. Meditating is a way to turn all that off and become an empty vessel.”

“You see our brain is designed to keep us aware of the physical world we are in. But there are many dimensions existing in the same space that we are in. We can’t see them, though, because all the thinking in our brains keeps our awareness only on this dimension. But we do have a part of our brain that can access those other dimensions of reality. It’s called our third eye, or pineal gland.”

“When we can shut off the non-stop mind chatter we can move our attention to this third eye. The third eye is like an antenna that picks up wavelengths from these other dimensions. With an empty mind we can become an observer and tune in to the quantum field that includes all wavelengths of all dimensions. It is with our third eye that we can see these other dimensions.”

Monique scratched her chin, “Okay, I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about but please go on.”

Rhiannon sighed, “Anyway, I’ve been working on building up my third eye. For most of us our third eye is very weak from lack of use. It’s like a muscle that you’ve got to exercise. Well, recently I found myself observing a different world; a different dimension vibrating at a different frequency. It’s a lot like this world, like Earth, and there are humans there…”

“Humans?”

“Yeah, there are people and animals and trees — lots of trees — and it’s very similar to this dimension we’re in but there are some major differences. With my third eye I can go into that dimension and observe just like someone from that dimension could be standing here observing us.”

“No. Imagination is a cognitive function. This is a vibratory function of tuning into other frequencies. It’s seeing (third eye, not imagination) other vibratory frequencies that exist.”

“Anyway, this other dimensional world I’ve been visiting is a lot like the 3D Earth we’re in but the feeling is very different. The feeling is very peaceful and soft and practically euphoric.
