A World On Fire: 5 Massive Disruptions To Our Reality

And the best way to train yourself for the future.

The world has experienced massive disruption during the last several years. It has affected everything from how we work, learn, interact, and communicate.

Even before the arrival of COVID in 2020, the world was already fast-tracked for rapid change. The pandemic only accelerated that inevitably — and is it crazy to think that what we have seen so far is only be the beginning?

Here are the 5 big disruptions we face on the planet.

1. The Invasion of Ukraine

Who knows how this will end. We can only hope for the best. But what we are witnessing has been unprecedented in modern times. We can only hope for the best. However, the outpouring show of love and support for Ukraine has been a bright spot.

2. Emerging and Exponential Technology

For the past several years, futurist and entrepreneur, Peter Diamandis has said, in the next decade, we will experience more technological progress than we did in the past 100 years.

Some of these major shifts in technology include:

  • Blockchain everywhere
  • The Metaverse coming to the forefront
  • The emergence of DOAs (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)

3. Money and Finances

The way we utilize and understand money continues to go through a massive disruption. Here are the main culprits:

  • Massive volatility in both the crypto and stock markets
  • Inflation in the US is at its highest level since the 1980s
  • A world of tokenization: NFTs, creator coins, gamification, etc.

4. The Great Resignation

Have you heard the workforce is sick and tired?

  • Tired of 9 to 5.
  • Tired of 3% raises.
  • Tired of long commutes.
  • Tired of crappy bosses.

5. COVID

How could we not have such a list without mentioning COVID? It’s hard to imagine COVID just completely going away and if it did, it’s not going to be a sudden flip of a switch across the entire world. Our best hope is the disease continues to become endemic and many of our normal societal interactions are restored.

Either way, COVID will continue to shape our lives in some form or another, even after the pandemic is deemed officially over.

We have a lot to contend with.

Not to mention the ongoing issues of climate change, pollution, education, gender inequality, racial discrimination, malnourishment, and hunger. The list goes on.

So where do we go from here?

  • How do we ensure we are best prepared to rise above any chaos happening in the world.
  • How do we not allow any feelings of uneasiness or overwhelm from outside conditions to paralyze us and destroy the way we experience life?

We develop a “trained mind.

What is a trained mind?

The “trained mind” is a state of existence in which one goes through life deliberately and consciously creating their life experience.

If you are familiar with the work of Michael Beckwith, this is essentially what he calls manifestor’s consciousness. It is a state of being in which one goes from victim to creator — hallmarked by a deep knowing that:

The world doesn’t happen to you but rather the world happens through you.

In other words, you are the creator of your reality, and you live each day believing that no person or circumstance can dictate the way you experience it.

Food For Thought

Here is some food for thought to help you navigate the current state of disruption our world is in and whatever craziness is likely yet to come.

1. Do you have a detailed vision for your future?

If not, start crafting one by answering these five questions:

  • How do you want to grow in life?
  • What do you want to experience in life?
  • What do you want to explore in life?
  • What do you want to create or build in life?
  • How do you want to serve the world?

2. Start viewing life as a 360-degree holistic experience.

In other words, stop believing you need to sacrifice a particular aspect of your life for another part to thrive. For example, you can have both: fantastic health and a remarkable career. You can have an incredible family life and still have time for hobbies and personal projects. You can have an exciting social life and a passionate love life while exploring the world and living abundantly.

You can have it all. Stop thinking you can’t.

3. Get out of your analytical mind and beyond your physical body.

You are so much more than our reptilian ego-mind and this big meat suit we trot around all day. You have intuition, imagination, and a third eye that can solve problems and paint masterpieces.

Learn to tap into those qualities. When you do, you can easily enter states of flow and inspiration which allow you to manifest something greater and more meaningful than your ego could ever dream of.

4. Own your shit and forgive.

We all have “stuff.” We all have a shadow that creeps in the background of our life. Acknowledge yours and set the intention to actively work to prevent yours from popping in unannounced and raise havoc in your life.

Start by committing to your own personal growth. Face your fears on paper by journaling your troubles. Talk to someone. Or learn to meditate.

Most of all, practice forgiveness. Dig deep into your past. Survey your present life and heal yourself of any negativity and hurt you have towards anyone. And perhaps start by looking in the mirror and forgiving yourself.

5. Embrace unity consciousness and let go…

Of everything! Your biases. Your moral superiority. Your fear of people who look, think and live differently than you.

Most of us have bought into the great lie of separation — which since the beginning of time has kept us believing we are different from one another. History has proven this only makes us miserable, alone, and destructive.

Trash the company line: we are not separate from one another. Instead, every person is merely one individual cell within a giant human colossus of cells all united and connected.

And what affects a part of us reverberates throughout the whole.
