Happy May, my lovelies. Holy cow, we’ve made it to the fifth month of this year. I keep hoping our usual, beautiful spring weather will show up, but we’re still getting 40 MPH winds with 60 MPH gusts. It is, finally, starting to warm up, but it’s hard to plant a garden when the wind is blowing that hard.

I have to give a huge shoutout to three people who did a stellar job with last month’s words. We had 118 responses to last month’s list.

Our very own, Ravyne Hawke, did a post a day throughout the entire month. Jason Edmunds did a total of 29 posts and jules did a total of 23. Now keep in mind, there were some posts that had more than one word from the list and that’s okay. I did it myself.

I’m really proud of the three of you and am humbled by the number of posts that came from the list. We almost doubled the number from March. Nice job.

But it’s a whole new month and time for some new fun. This month, however, I got all the ideas from various celebrations from around the world. Some are International, some are religious, and some are from odd things we Americans have had to create a day for. Not all of them will be obvious, but I hope they help draw some wonderful pieces.

There you have it, kids. Your Word-A-Day list for May 2022. I always try to do something with these words myself, but rarely follow through. But I’m going to try…again. LOL. I’ve got a couple of ideas forming in my head that might keep me on track. We’ll see.

Remember, if you write something from one or more of this month’s words, be sure to tag me (@sapheyerblu) so I can check it out and add it to the new list. I’d love to see us hit somewhere between 150 and 200 posts. That would be awesome.

If you write something and post it outside of PW, make sure to tag me and Ravyne Hawke so she can see it too. She likes to read your stuff as much as I do. And while you’re here, be sure to check out her Monthly Theme for May. It’s awesome.

Okay, my lovelies. Let’s get this month started on the write path. I hope you get inspired, but more than that, I hope you have fun.

Until next time, Happy Writing!!!
