Ever since I was a little girl, I loved the magic of nature. I used to think fairies lived in toadstools and fairy doors were real. I still want to believe it, and secretly I do. (Not a secret now.)

I remember playing in wild, overgrown gardens or fields, and my imagination would run free. Nature allowed me to be myself.

Then, life had to get more serious, and I entered the world. I admit I felt I needed to be a better fit and ready. I recognized later how much I’d neglected my vivid imagination since childhood.

To get to the point, I was beautifully surprised today when I came home and found out my husband had secretly been busy creating a magical spot in our garden, especially for me to write.

This gesture was so loving and touching. Each toadstool in the picture below was hand-painted.
