Bosnians headed to the polls to elect the three members of their ethnically shared government.

Meanwhile, people in both Brazil and Bulgaria, Brazilians and Bulgarians headed to the polls in their respective national elections. Brazilians were seeking to elect their president, vice president, and National Congress. Bulgarians headed to the polls to elect the National Assembly. This was curiously the fourth time Bulgarians had seen an election in 18 months.

Manchester City, beating Manchester Utd 6–3 at home in a league match, wins the 188th Manchester derby.

Meanwhile, in the UK capital, Ethiopia’s Yalemzerf Yehualaw becomes the youngest woman to win the London Marathon. Kenya’s Amos Kipruto wins the men’s race.

  1. On this day, in 1470, the Earl of Warwick’s rebellion forces King Edward IV of England to flee to the Netherlands. Henry VI is subsequently restored to the throne.
