A Tragedy

Humanity walked the path of evolution,
calling death a tragedy and birth, a pious gift.
But what is a bigger tragedy than
entering a world without consent,
being held by arms you don't recognize
and moulded into so many shapes
along the years that we see the mirror
and no longer recognize the eyes staring back.
Is it not a tragedy to grow in this deceitful world
and learn to be one as well?
Is it not a tragedy for one to grow in the castle
and other under the shade of a bridge?
If tragedy makes a human or
human make tragedies a mystery of ages
but what is a bigger tragedy
then watching a home turn monster
we yearn to escape.
