A Sonnet to Celebrate World Poetry Day 2022
Let’s speak up loud and have our say

“You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say.” F. Scott Fitzgerald
My poetry serves many purposes quite often it’s to get stuff off my chest, like telling Putin his war’s atrocious or my own run-in with a narcissist
My poems help me sort out my feelings and put life’s ups and downs in perspective With that comes understanding and healing plus guiding others, my main objectives
I teach and promote fun forms like twittles One day, I hope they’ll be in haiku class Soon I’ll introduce a form called prittles and chase Elon to get twittles to Mars
Let’s all celebrate World Poetry Day by speaking up loud and having our say.
