A Sixty Year Old’s Advice About Spirituality

What is “spirituality?” What does it mean to be “spiritual?”
To me, spirituality refers to your connection to Source or God.

You may have heard phrases like:
- Spirituality means having a belief in God or a higher power
- You are Divine and you are Human
- You are a spirit ( or a soul ) in human form
- You are a “Monad” and the list goes on
I believe that everything is a stream of consciousness from Source or God, even rocks and inanimate matter.
I describe Source or God as “one unity consciousness divine love.”
Source endowed human beings with free-will, and it is our use of free-will that creates “bad things”, not Source or God.
It makes sense that “God” is an infinite field of potential. And that potential can be called consciousness.
I define consciousness as aware divine intelligence or information.
I define “divine” as infinite potential.
To me, consciousness is not just self-awareness or being conscious of actions other than automatic functions. To me, consciousness is NOT just cognition or the ability to think, as living organisms do. It is not just the ability to know and to perceive.
I believe that consciousness is a fundamental feature of physical matter. I also refer to “consciousness” as a template for awareness and a force from Divine Source.
Every single particle in existence has an “unimaginably simple” form of consciousness, according to Philip Goff, a philosophy professor at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
There is some inherent subjective experience of consciousness, or awareness of itself, in even the tiniest particle.
These particles then come together to form more complex forms of consciousness, such as humans’ subjective experiences.
To me, being spiritual means being aware that everything is a stream of consciousness from Source and supporting harmony on Earth among everything that is.
God is not a “He” or a force meting out random good and bad things
Everything has a message or a lesson for us. Source can be viewed as “divine love” in terms of holding blueprints for us to co-exist peacefully, with all needs met.
But because people choose to focus on the negative things created (consciously and subconsciously) by human beings, they tend to say there’s no such thing as God.
This is buoyed by the stereotype that God is a “power” or a “he” or a person that can be asked outright to fix the wrongs of the world and by the misunderstanding that God is a benevolent force that shouldn’t make bad things happen.
But I view God or Source as an infinite field of energy, which is information that is used to manifest matter forms and to create patterns of being.
This may be an impersonal viewpoint of God. But because I choose to look for the unifying potential of God (by viewing God or Source as one unity consciousness divine love), I connect to God as a source for unity (manifested as health, happiness, needs met, and care of Earth).
I view love as living one vibrational energy.
You are made up of matter, energy, and consciousness. And the energy that comprises you consists of sound and light energy! Matter forms are fields of energy created by sound frequencies producing light and colour of different frequencies.
I have come across amazing theories about how human beings as Souls are born into human forms, such as Monads being the first sparks of consciousness from Source. The Monads differentiate into streams of consciousness which ultimately manifest as individual Souls in human bodies.
Simone Matthews describes the fascinating journey of our Souls birthing through stellar gateways (energy portals) into the heart chambers of the foetuses. You can find more information about it in my article “The Circle of Life and the Divine Origin of Human Beings: Sacred Geometry.”
Simone and many others show how sound and light result in matter.
Spirituality is about trusting yourself as infinite Source. Being spiritual is about doing your best to live in harmony.
What has spirituality got to do with a pink duck?
Putting together my definitions from my life experiences, I can make the statement below.
To me, being spiritual means being aware that everything is a stream of aware infinite intelligence or information from Source and supporting harmony on Earth among everything that is, through receiving coded information from light and sound and connecting to Source as infinite potential.
In some parts of Asia, there was a pink-headed duck, a large diving duck, but it became extinct in the 1950s. A duck with the pattern or blueprint of a pink head was manifested by the same Source or God that produced you and me.
Events like storms and fires are based upon the principles of elements of the air, sea, and land interacting, and these elements are impacted by human activity. When human beings respect the elements and live with them harmoniously, they are using their free-will to make choices to co-create a healthy and sustainable climate and environment.
Some see the Soul and the human body as separate. Even the saying “you are a Soul or Spirit in human form” is becoming worn out or outdated. People may perceive it as a struggle between two forces. This definition may even cause some to get angry with God, thinking why did God create us this way?
My answer is to dwell upon the fact of how great thou art. Consider that our bodies and energy fields are wondrous configurations of light, sound, energy, electromagnetic forces, atoms, cells, tissues, organs, and intelligence all working together.
Understand that human beings are but one manifested form from Source or God. And that over eons of time, we have separated ourselves from our origin, Source.
Re-writing my thoughts about Source or God gives the following definition.
Source or God is infinite unity consciousness with the potential of living one vibrational energy.
Connecting to Source shows that you are enough and are only charged with taking the next right step in front of you. It’s okay for you to do your best and leave the rest because you are a part of a whole working together.
We are all fractals or self-similar parts of Source. Because Source is infinite, there are infinite possibilities, like pink ducks. Spirituality and being spiritual are ways of living that help you to believe in yourself and a world of good health and harmony for all.
