You sprint away, scoop up the knife like a pro, pocket it, and keep running.

Now, you find yourself in another stony tunnel, darker than before. You hear Death’s footsteps behind, as well as his low, sinister laugh.

“I enjoy the chase,” he bellows. “This isn’t over.”

“Screw you,” you reply.

The tunnel twists then splits. Each junction seems to offer two or three more routes — it’s confusing!

But you choose on instinct.

At last, a dead end. Or is it? The roof has fallen in, and you scramble up through the debris, hands bleeding, sensing sunshine and trees above…
