A Professional Hippie

A quirky lifestyle

Ladies and gentlemen, the next 5 minutes or so will be the quirkiest minutes of your life. For this to happen, there are 2 young men to know: On one side of the table we have Sean the conservative and on the other side of the table, we have the unconventional Joe

Sean opens up and shouts at his colleague: “ What on earth is this quirky lifestyle of yours? It’s all wobbly, it’s unbalanced, and makes no sense. Take these jeans off, there are holes in them. Come right this second, let’s buy you a new pair of jeans. Decent jeans for my friend Joe.” My readers, there is a problem here, no? haven’t you realized? You see Sean does not like it when things seem wobbly. It’s too much to handle. Is it an obsessive-compulsive disorder? It has to be something.

To Sean, it has to be OCD. Everything must be labeled. All wobbly statuses must have a disorder. Sean like it when everything has a label — there is no room for confusion.

“Fancy my lifestyle? oh, I’m sure you do. You wanna be a piece of me, just admit it. For yourself’s sake, you cannot do it so you pick on me.” Joe seems so certain of himself, you see his anarchy expressed in his lifestyle. Not a punk lifestyle, anarchy yet elegant. It must be his taste in counterculture movements.

Sean likes conformity and I, Hugo do not like conformity, therefore, I do not like Sean. (It’s my story, I can do whatever I want even if it means showing little respect to my characters. )

Why on earth reject the norms, a taste of unconventional practices, that’s a Hippie. You see Joe sees himself as a professor of nonconformity, he’s tired of OCD labels. Is it earthly OCD? Everybody seems alike. “You see Sean, I don’t dislike you, you’re just another person contaminated by the conventional lifestyle. You like the expected, I like the unexpected.”

The unexpected and the surprising rule the unconventional method. It’s a religion you see.

Musicians are right, a professional hippie is something to be. Unconventional yet elegant and melodic. All three attributes in one! A quirky lifestyle is something to have.
