I’m brand new to this publication so wanted say hello and do a short intro.

Six months ago I traveled to Trinidad & Tobago for the first time, often shortened to Trinbago or simply TT. My fiancé is a duel citizen and was fortunate enough to inherit a lovely house here. Since then, I’ve returned to the U.S. and back two more times in order to deal with various stuff there, which means quite a bit of travel.

As I’m sure fellow travelers can relate, it can all be so grueling these days: Airports, passports, vaccination cards, travel passes, COVID tests, immigration, security check points, jet lag, climate changes. Despite the more painful aspects, it’s still well worth it of course.

Recently, TT opened their beaches back up, which were closed for nearly two years on account of crazy COVID. Imagine being on a Caribbean Island and unable to go and dip your feet into the ocean or really do too much exploring of any kind! Terrible!

Now that things are opening back up I will be posting about some of our adventures. I recently visited the beautiful beaches of Maracas and Las Cuevas, which you can see in the photos. More photos can be found on my Wordpress blog, The Sunstone Journal. Fellow bloggers, or anyone else, please feel free to connect with me over there.

I’ve been writing here on Medium for about nine months now and have maintained my blog since 2017. I write about writing, my first love, as well as on the topics of psychology and humor. Happily, I’ve also added photography and travel to that list.

I do not own a DLR. Perhaps I will invest in one sometime but for now I shoot all my photos on my trusty iPhone.

Thank you to Warren Patterson for adding me to the roster of writers here at Globetrotters. Thank you as well to Anne Bonfert, as I learned about this pub by reading one of her posts.
