PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
Doggo is Never Gonna Forgive Me!
The third week in June 2021
Jack holds it against me that it’s rained.
In June.
It’s all my fault.
And he’s never gonna forgive me.
(Until supper-time.)

Jack reckons there is a back garden out there somewhere and we should find it. There might even be a shed …

I don’t enjoy visiting the Commonwealth War Graves at Canford Cemetery — it’s too saddening: there are so many far-too-young people dead. Because of war.
When I’m at Canford, though, I do visit them in order to help keep their memories alive. There are 230 ‘casualties’ (I don’t like the word — it doesn’t sound profound enough) — of the First and Second World Wars lying there.

More of the orchids in my bay window are coming to life and gracing me with their blooms.

I discovered that a small, one-plant Clivia in a pot, completely neglected on a different windowsill — because my main Clivia plants are in my bay window — has gone on to produce seed heads! This doesn’t usually happen because I dead-head the plants, but this one got away and I shall now leave it to see what happens. They look full of promise.

It’s been the kind of weather this week that invites the idea of just floating and chilling in the pool.
However, I’ve been unable to take advantage of it — partly because I have my first visitor since February 2020 coming to stay (and have to get the house ready), and partly because I don’t have a pool. Oh, yes, and partly because there’s this pandemic thing going on so I can’t go to someone else’s pool.
I can imagine it, though.
The Photo-A-Day Challenge is a fab thing to do. It’s fascinating to see other people’s lives, from all around the world, illustrated through their pics.
Dennett started it last year and what a brilliant idea that was! Thank you, Dennett!
