A Personal Experience With Intercessory Prayers
For 15 days, one of my family members spent time on IV fluids due to some medical conditions. It was a stressful time, and all we could do was wait for her to reach consciousness again. Even the doctor at the time suggested some worst-case scenarios, which suggested that her life could be ending sooner rather than later.
During that time, I called on the Almighty for help, as well as went online to have my prayers placed on the purported tomb of Jesus in Israel. I asked for prayers on sites where I could request prayers from others.
After a few days of stress, my relative gradually became more conscious, and she eventually checked out of the hospital. To us, it truly was a divine miracle because it seemed problematic whether she would make it into the New Year.
Could it be that my request for intercessory prayers made a difference?
To sum it up, what is intercessory prayers? It is the act of praying on behalf of someone else. Some people may claim healing was all due to the good work done by medical professionals. However, I feel that the power of intercessory prayers did make a difference in my relative’s recovery.
Some studies do point out that intercessory prayers can have a positive outcome for some patients. For example, a 2015 study published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that intercessory prayer was associated with lower levels of anxiety and depression among patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
There’s not a lot of research in this area, and it seems likely that prayer is hard to study, according to one doctor. Dr. Rosmarin points out that prayer may have similar benefits to meditation, which calms the meditation and makes one refrain from a flight or fight response.
I feel that if you ask someone who experienced results, it may not be too hard to find. These anecdotal responses may be testimonials to the prayer of intercessory prayers.
One health caregiver that I know mentioned that when her husband was suffering ill effects due to COVID-19, she had a prayer team at her church ask for healing — the result was that her loved one recovered.
I struggled to find work in a brand-new field. But after asking a self-employed Minister, Shawn Hurley, for assistance, I got 2 job offers a few days after I made the request. This minister flies to different countries and meets people to heal the sick and perform other work to help the poor.
Was it just a coincidence that I got a job? Or did Shawn send a powerful message to the divine for help in getting me gainful employment to work in education?
For me, there is something miraculous in the use of intercessory prayers. If you are interested in the subject, I strongly suggest you read Hurley’s latest book, He Sets The Prisoner Free…, which is so powerful that I broke down several times while reading it.

I think the answer could be directly related to the level of faith that supports our idea that we had experienced a divine encounter.
I hope everyone feels the love and power of having a miracle that shows us we are not alone.
During one live healing service that I found online, I saw my skin glowing with sparkles that some participants say come from experiencing the glory of God. To me, encounters are real and show that God is the same, yesterday and today.
