You awaken in a comfy bed, covered with a thick quilt.
Slowly, you prop yourself on your elbows and look around the unfamiliar cabin you’ve found yourself in. A rugged-looking man with a bushy beard sits next to a roaring fireplace, gently petting a sleeping dog. He nods when he sees you awake.
“You’ve got some luck, stranger.” He points to the corner of the cabin. “And a good friend. You wouldn’t be here if she hadn’t carried you.”
Dara stands where the man indicated.
“Orcish poison, seen it hundreds of times.” He sighs. “Afraid I’ve got some bad news…”
