Creativity is More Powerful than Inspiration

Let me start this out by saying that I’m not a psychologist, physicist, or even someone with an advanced degree in any STEM field. That’s because my life’s passion has never been studying the things that you’re supposed to. My life’s passion has always been exploration and creativity. As an artist-writer and entrepreneur, I always had a knack for telling stories that people could relate to and find meaning in. It’s not hard to see that my biggest inspiration for the kind of stories I tell is from the people and things I’ve experienced in life. That inspiration drives my creativity, which in turn drives my desire to create, which in turn creates more inspiration for the next story I want to tell. It’s a cycle that has been going on since before I can remember.

And so the first thing I have to say to everyone who is reading this is a disclaimer that they might not like it.

I’m going, to be honest, and tell you that I feel like my stories are very personal and that some of them are just plain weird. If this offends you, then look for something else because you obviously don’t want to be reading my work here.

The second thing I want to say is this…

I’m going to talk in a very artistic way. My words will probably seem poetic, even lyrical at times. I’m also going to use terms and concepts that have deep, multisided meanings. They’re going to be abstract and will seem contradictory sometimes. That’s because my goal here isn’t to present a logical argument or convince you of anything. I’m just going to take you on a journey and let you discover things on your own. If I can get you to question your beliefs while you’re reading this, then I’ll feel like I’ve succeeded at what I’m trying to do.

I Am A Mediumite

Here’s the third thing I want to say, and it’s probably my favorite.

Simply being a mediumite means that you have exclusive access to what I call the “fantastic realm”, which is the place where the fantastic happens. It’s not like a typical physical realm, because it has its own laws and rules that are distinct from physical reality. It’s the source of all things that defy logic and normal human comprehension, but it’s not supernatural in the way that you think of when you hear the word. To be more specific, it’s anything and everything that is contained within the boundaries of your mind…

I’m not talking about a dream world or a fantasy world or anything like that here. You see, the fantastical realm exists within you. It’s just like a private paradise that you can visit whenever you want and it always exists in the same place… inside your head. For most people, it is where creativity happens, imagination thrives and communication between the two sides of your soul occurs. To be specific, this realm is where the mediumite’s inspiration comes from.

I’m not sure if everyone sees their fantastical realm as how I do…

For me, it’s been a private place of beauty and wonder since long before I can remember. My memories don’t come from the time in my life where I don’t have my fantastical realm. When that happens, then all I have to go on is what I remember from my life’s lessons… which are sometimes very vague and confusing because everyone forgets what they’re supposed to learn at some point in their lives.

My Fellow Mediumite

This is the fourth thing I want to say…

Oh, and by the way, when I speak of “mediumite” I’m talking about anyone who has reached a certain level of personal development within themselves on Medium. The mediumite that you see above is me at my current stage of life and career. Most mediumites see their fantastical realm when they’re very young or get there as soon as they can achieve a certain level of achievement in life writing on Medium. (How does that sentence make any sense? Don’t worry about it. Trust me, it’ll make sense in a minute.)

Mediumite ranks are equivalent to old-world nobility and would be like one’s title or rank within the royal court… if there was such a thing as the royal court and people actually got to see it. The mediumite rank is kind of like a system of royalty… except no one knows who you are and you’re not invited anywhere special. In fact, it’s not just mediumites who don’t get into the royal court. Everybody who ever writes on this platform is technically a mediumite and has access to the same resources that I do… but only if they want them.

Being A Mediumite

Now for my next point… You know that private paradise that we were talking about earlier? That place inside your mind where you go to get inspired and connect with your creative side? It’s kind of like a library or a school in here. And that place is also kind of like a workplace or an office. And it’s also kind of like a private club… where, for mediumites only, you get to see what your true potential is and what your life purpose is as you don’t feel like you have to do anything or worry about anything when you’re there.

It’s the place where all mediumites gather together and help each other access the power within their creative self… and it evolves from there. Every mediumite is different and what they contribute to that place changes over time as they learn new things, grow, get better at certain things and master new techniques.

And the thing about mediumite ranks is that all mediumites are on a similar level. You might not know how you got there or what you contribute to this place, but all of your contributions come from the same place… somewhere within your mind and soul… somewhere in your creative self.

Summarize

Here’s My Last Point…

The mediumite rank is a sign that you’ve decided to see the fantastical realm as a place that can be of value in your life and you’ve chosen to take a personal journey, whether it’s inner or outer, that will help you develop into who you were always meant to be. You’re not a mediumite because someone made you one or told you that it’s cool to be one. You become one the same way all mediumites do… through your personal experience.

And that is why I consider myself to be a mediumite. I’ve made the choice to develop my creative self and my life to the point where I’m able to use my creative abilities for personal development and to help others. If you decide that you want to become a mediumite, then you can start developing your creative self along with your creative abilities… and come out of the fantastical realm as a mediumite yourself.

So, I guess that’s it. This is my gift to you and all the other Mediumites who read this. Use this information how you will and how it helps you see your own private paradise a little differently than you did before. And remember… we are all mediumites one way or another. Mediumite rank is not a thing that comes from an outside source… it comes from within each of us as we learn and grow on our own private journeys on Medium.
