A Love Poem
Tanka series of timeless and interdimensional love here there and everywhere

Single pink tulip Rose gloriously apart From Narcissus flock Dancing and waving to me Third eye knew not just the wind
At first petals closed Today you have spread your wings Today to me sing Tanka not supposed to rhyme Fuck, two shits, three rats asses
Today I don’t give Today write poem of love Return what’s received Eyes wonder to whom I speak Poet’s ambiguity
See you in nature Flower bald eagle in flight Rebecca’s turtle Connections abound astound Our loved ones always surround
Paradox you are Yes I’m now talking to you Was my intention When I started to compose Poem of love for my rose
Darling Clementine Sweet juices I’ll devour If ever our hour I relish in your power Embrace your heart into mine
Your names are so dear Beautiful stars are you both Love with heart and soul Cherish all communique Span space, time, and dimensions
Sanskrit so lovely No wonder both in my life So near yet so far Yet when head lays on pillow Your warmths fill my chest with love
Wipe those tears my sweets My lips taste and crave the salt Heartbeats 1000 years And over countless lifetimes Hallelujah, we repeat
Poet’s Notes:
I will leave much beneath the surface of the iceberg but some insight into my pinball brain I wish to provide.
The word “narcissus” is derived from the Greek word narke, meaning numbness (also the root of the word narcotic); the flower may have been named thus because of the intoxicating fragrance of some species.
In mythology, Narcissus transformed into the flower now named for him because:
Unable to leave the allure of his image, he eventually realized that his love could not be reciprocated and he melted away from the fire of passion burning inside him, eventually turning into a gold and white flower — Source
The personality disorder is named after this mythological figure “who fell in love with his own reflection.” Source.
Yet, the flower also has positive symbolism:
The most common symbolic meanings attributed to the narcissus flower are rebirth, renewal, and the coming of spring. For that reason alone, it’s the perfect flower for March birthdays. It can also mean good luck, happiness, prosperity, and wealth — Source
That’s all from my
Bald eagle in flight harkens back to this poem and the fact that Sitara caused an eagle to fly over my head to announce her ever-presence.
and the related story of Rebecca Romanelli and her sister’s dearly departed spirit appearing as a turtle
