A Lesson We All Should Know About
Do What Feels Right
We all make mistakes.
If you’re like me you’re not afraid of mistakes but you make sure to avoid them by doing your best and by mitigating risks or problems as often you can.
I have made many mistakes only by not following one simple rule which is to do what feels right deep within your soul or your heart, whichever works for you.
I never learnt to say no early in my life, I had a really hard time saying “No” to anyone.
I learned “the art of No” too late in my life. I only learned it because the Universe made sure to kick my ass often for me to realize that if I do not learn the lesson then it will only get worse.
To my surprise, I only learned after facing the worst. I am not planning to dive back to that ass-kicking sessions again!
Saying No is not even the lesson I am writing this piece for.
“Doing what feels right” has the spotlight here.
I learned too late to give my attention to what feels right deep inside me.
I also learned too late to follow what feels right.
If you give me your kid to mentor for a day, I will teach them only one thing first, “KNOW WHAT FEELS RIGHT WITHIN YOU AND DO THAT ONLY”
DO WHAT FEELS RIGHT. Period.
Not learning this skill early in my life is my only regret. I am grateful that I am not too late. There is still a lot to come but I would try my best to tell young people to learn this early to avoid worse after.
It is not about giving into fears, doing what feels right is more than not facing your fears because if you know something is right, you will do it no matter how scared you are.
I am talking about relations and decisions we make when we are not fully aware of what we really want.
To know what you want, to make that right decision, you NEED to know What Feels Right to you.
It is so important to be aware of your emotions and not be consumed by them.
I would tell them to know their emotions when something or someone new shows up in their life, I want them to survive their best on this beautiful planet filled with goodness and the opposite.
I want them to get in touch with their core because no matter where you are right now, there is something in your gut that knows much more than what your mind can perceive.
You’re a great being. You can turn your food into you without even directing your focus inwards or commanding consciously. It is an incredible machine that you’re within. You’re more than your body.
You’re a Consciousness and that Conscious Self is Powerful.
It can feel what is wrong, and what is right.
It can make the right decisions on every step only if you’re listening, only if you’re there for yourself, for knowing what feels right to you.
Namaste! Thank you for reading! Lots of love!
