A Good Day For Writing

It’s mid-afternoon and I finally have Internet again. Most of the day has been filled with doing other things rather than the planned time spent preparing posts here on Medium. I got a post up this morning moments before the Internet went down for the third time. It is back, but for how long is unknown.

This morning we went to the medical clinic as my wife had an issue with a toe. I know, such a little thing, but when a person likes hiking, it is important to keep one’s feet in the best condition possible. The doctor was a personable young man in his late twenties or early thirties who knew enough English to answer my wife’s questions. In the end, a cream was prescribed with a return appointment set for seven days from now.

I am working on an editing project in order to prepare a book for publishing. Editing is a slow process. This will be the third edit before I send it off to an “editor” to then go over [any volunteers?]. Once the book is pronounced ready, I have an artist friend whom I typically commission for book covers. I don’t expect freebies, especially from friends.

Of course, I write while skyclad — aka clothing free. It is just the way it is with me when it is possible. It isn’t always possible. Weather or other people in the picture [other than my wife] are good enough reasons to wear a minimum of clothing while I write.

Once this post is published to Medium, it will be time for some sunbathing if the sun manages to appear from behind the clouds to the south. It is clear to the north, so there is hope.

Now, with the post completed, I will take some time to relax with my wife on the lounge chairs. She isn’t a writing widow. She is too important in my life to ignore, even if I get absorbed by my writing tasks.
