A Good Artist
A poem on not being enough
I’m not a good artist, I gush about my love for art to the world, I give my appreciation to Mauritshuis’ Pearl, But I may just be a con artist
I’m not a good artist, When people see hatred and love, I can only see colors and strokes, Or maybe I’m just heartless
I’m not a good artist, Catharsis is what art’s supposed to mean, But it’s only my means to be a queen, Does that make me a narcissist?
I may not seem like a good artist, But my art speaks to me, the words of admiration disagree, And I still smear colors at my hardest
Isn’t that enough as an artist?
