A Gift in Compromise
A pantoum on our exchange as part of nature
At birth inhale a new life witnessed by a mothers’ eyes. The first action to receive a gift so purely justified. Then proclaim with another act exhaled in tearful cries. Arrival to a world full of lessons we often will despise.
The first action to receive a gift so purely justified. We breathe to receive our nourishments for a simple price Arrival to a world full of lessons we often will despise. Exhale we will surrender payment for energies compromise.
We breathe to receive our nourishments for a simple price. Then crawl to learn the walk along an ivy floor. Exhale we will surrender payment for energies compromise. Inhale to return in kind with Oak and Fungal spore.
Then crawl to learn the walk along an ivy floor. A breath is meant a gift, not to overreach our grasp. Inhale to return in kind with Oak and Fungal spore. Then sacrifice our Mother’s body for the homes we may adorn.
A breath is meant a gift, not to overreach our grasp. The exchanges we gave to life are masked behind greed-fueled guise. Then sacrifice our Mother’s body for the homes we may adorn. A fractured circle to repair with another compromise.
The exchanges we gave to life are masked behind greed-fueled guise. Stewards of Earth shall walk the ground barren upon their feet. A fractured circle to repair with another compromise. Gifting life from our nourishments in their soil we must complete.
Stewards of Earth shall walk the ground barren upon their feet. In death, you exhaled life to witness children who are wise. Gifting life from our nourishments in their soil we must complete. The final act of our surrender witnessed by our family’s eyes.
