Future

A Broken World. How about Young Women and Hope?

Many people feel broken. Selma describes it as the bottom dropping out of her bucket. Old souls and empaths feel all.

We, humans, are social beings. And when we hurt, contact with others can relieve the pain a bit.

Within Illumination, we hear each other and interact. As writers do, we do it through stories, through writing letters. We publish those letters, so others can read over our shoulders. And become involved, too.

Everyone, feel invited! Feel free to comment. The more, the merrier…

So, when Selma reached out, I wrote her a letter.

Her first story was about her bucket bottom falling out. It’s bad if it happens, but she wrote beautifully about it.

The reaching out came in the response.

I appreciate you reading AND commenting, Desiree Driesenaar Henery X (long) Randy Shingler Lynette Clements Amy Marley Ann K Frailey Kathryn A. LeRoy, Ph.D. Trista Ainsworth. — forgive the economic way I’m replying to you today.

Only love is real…

I Wish You Miracles. — Selma Writes

Dear Selma,

I read your words, I feel your pain and of course, I do feel the chaos around us. My path has been different than yours. I read the words you mentioned of Aurora Eliam, CMP on old souls, and empaths.

I don’t really know if I am one or the other. Perhaps…

Have you ever thought that you were an old soul or an empath? Well, chances are that if you are one, you are also the other.

Empaths are people who can and do absorb the emotions of those around them. They feel everything on a level much deeper than most.

Rather than merely being able to understand the emotions of others, they can actually feel the emotions of others, as if they were their own.

Old souls, on the other hand, are souls who have visited this planet quite a few times. They’ve experienced many lives and, the more that they visit Earth, the more that they have learned. While our bodies may be young, our souls can be much older. — Aurora Eliam

Rational and Pleasing

When I was a child, I buried my wah-wah-ness and became a rational being and a pleaser. It served me well through earth life but after 45+ years of living, it left me empty and broken. I learned. I was never into spirituality but during my personal development, I entered into it and learned fast.

What I like best is that I’m able to implement everything I learned into my real, physical life. Just experimenting and doing. The labels old soul or empath don’t really matter to me. I like some action…

The love in my life now is definitely an old soul, an empath, and a lightworker. Mike is also a very practical man and I love how he combines these two sides of his life. So together we grow now. We’re on our path. And my/our stories are part of it.

What gives me hope?

Let me tell you what gives me hope. The young people. I know some of them are very materialistic, very technology-driven. But I meet so many who have a thin veil. They know. They understand. And they are so eager to learn. So eager to co-create a good future for themselves and others.

Every turning needs a catalyst. Well, we have our portion now of brute leaders, natural disasters, and greedy corporations. Transition hurts. I’m not saying that it won’t. It will. It does.

And probably it will get worse before healing.

But maybe we should remember that our task as older people is to be like Finnegas (as Paul Kingsnorth says and I quote in this article).

In Celtic mythology, Finnegas is an old hermit who has searched all his life for the magic salmon who carries all the wisdom of the world. But in the end, it’s young Finn who catches the fish. Finnegas realizes that it’s not up to him to rise above himself. It’s up to the generation after him. His task is to pave the way.

It might be just our task to pave the way. Share our wisdom. Ask questions. And give the young people enough space to come up with their own answers.

Different answers than we envision. But well, we had our chance and we made a mess. So let them do it their own way. With guidance from much wiser spirits than us humans.

Maybe it’s enough to just tell the stories. And the young people (Finn) need to catch the salmon of wisdom and act upon it.

Puzzle Pieces

I receive a lot of requests from young people to skype. They are not shy, they just ask. And I make space in my days to have these conversations a few times a week. Just listen deeply to their worries, their questions. Then mirror.

Just giving them one little puzzle piece so they can be inspired and go on.

And wow, how inspiring these small acts make my life! I learn so much from them! I love the young people from all continents!

Today I’ll be answering questions from a Brazilian professor who reached out. She will record my answers and show the recording to her students. They are so eager to learn. And they are so stubborn to find the solutions in their own way. Great!!!

So your advice about asking questions is great! Let’s all ask questions.

Send them to the universe and to other human beings. The spirits will have time. The aware human beings will make time. They will listen to all worries and answer as best they can.

We are the askers and givers in one. All of us!

Listen deeply. Be honest. Be curious. All of us!

The best thing anyone can do right now is to be curious. Observe closely and act with an honest heart.

We don’t know how to go through this transition.

We can just focus our eyes on the more beautiful horizon…

Young people are so eager to learn. And they are so stubborn to do it their own way. Great!!!

Women and Girls

One last paragraph about women and girls. Let’s all pay attention to them especially. I’m convinced that if the women and the girls of this world take up their power, a lot will change.

Many men know. Many men help.

But empowering women is the important bit. They have often been raised modestly. Insecure. Not aware of their immense power to co-create a more beautiful world.

We already see great women leaders stand up. Jacintha in New-Zealand. Nicola in Scotland. A history of women in Iceland…

And other young women will do their bits. It doesn’t have to be grand, it can be anything and anywhere. Being aware women, and raising their children in a heartfelt way will already make all the difference. The compassion they radiate can be so powerful.

Yes, I know, women are often critical of other women. They are too this or too that.

Too outspoken. Too loud. Too sexy. Too insecure. Too modest. Too glamourous. Too materialistic. Too superficial.

No. Stop it!

They’re all good enough!

We just need to feel our hearts, connect to our deep souls, and recognize our power. And the light will switch on…

We want women who dare to stand out. We don’t need pleasers. I was a pleaser already and it did the world no good. Reach out to others. Let’s all feel the power within and give each other space to breathe and co-create our own bits in our own ways.

And then, after the chaos, a new order will arrive…

Lots of love and light from the other side of the world, Selma! The bottom is there, you just don’t see it at the moment. Visualize a bottom in your bucket and just go on living, playing, and reaching out…

We want your wisdom to pave the way, too!

And if anyone wants to connect, you can find me on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or my website. Or somewhere in nature learning how to align the economy and ecology…

Thank you, Mike, for adding your wise energy to my words.
