PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
A Bit of Berlin, Fallen Trees, and My Usual Life Between Sky and Earth
Week 90 of the photographic documentary of my daily life
Yes, it has been 90 weeks since I joined this photography challenge. For 90 weeks now, I have taken one photograph every single day and shared it with you. Even though there are days I struggled, I somehow pulled off something every week.
Of course, some weeks in my life are more boring than others. Some weeks I have great photographs to share, while on others the quality was lacking.
But all in all, I have continued week after week for the sole reason of the community out here. The community of passionate writers and photographers has encouraged me over and over to keep going.
With their words. Through lovely comments, positive or even challenging feedback. It’s the honesty among these people that inspires me.
So here we go, on another week through my life.
We didn’t intend on visiting the capital but drove to Berlin to buy a bicycle for my husband. We got our first impressions of the city but were just as quickly out of the place as we entered.
Back to the countryside. And nature. That’s where we’re home.

The following day was another gray-in-gray day and we couldn’t skydive. With no work for the day, we decided to explore the wilderness. That was when we came across this road filled with fallen trees.
We climbed over them. With inline skates and a bicycle.
Let’s put it that way, it was a memorable day trip.

Saturday, the sun was out again and we were back in the sky. Training students how to jump out of planes and taking customers on their first tandem skydive was what I did until the sun was setting.

Today I decided to head out in the cold to take some photographs for the latest challenge. This was when I took this framed picture of the field next to the trailer park we’re living in.

Another day of exploring the fields.
And there we spotted a few deer grazing peacefully in the meadows.

On my way to work. Or let’s say, this was my ride to altitude. Because work starts much earlier. On the ground already I do training and coaching sessions to prepare a student or customer for the skydive. While sitting in the plane I go with them once again through the jump.
We talk about what we do, so it is in their brain when they sit at the edge of the plane.
But meanwhile, I can enjoy the view out of the window.
This is the view from my office chair…

Here is another picture from work. This photograph was taken with my chest-mounted camera right after my parachute had opened. The sun was shining and my canopy was smiling at me.
Happy days =)

This has been my week in photographs. 7 days. 7 photographs. Anyone can join. Once. Or weekly. It doesn’t matter. We welcome everyone! Dennett was the one starting this photography challenge in 2020 and many have participated ever since.
