Self-Improvement — #ILLUMINATION

A 3-step Solution to Every Problem in Life

There is nothing that you cannot handle.

The largest franchisee of Godfather’s Pizza in Texas recruited me based on my record with Pizza Hut in Chicago. I packed up everything and made my move.

It was only a few months after I had moved to Austin, Texas, that they wanted me to move again, this time to San Antonio. I wasn’t ready for it. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of relocating all over again. But it seemed like I was facing a moment of truth, a time to make a decision. I didn’t know what to do.

It was my day off, and I knew that the next morning I would have to make a decision. I went to the community center to attend the evening prayers. The service had already begun when I arrived.

As I entered the prayer hall, I heard, “In times of difficulties, seek refuge in your Lord who is present and manifest.”

I said, “Okay, God, I surrender, you take over.” And I let it be.

The following morning, as I prepared for the meeting, I had no clue about how it will turn out or what I’ll do, but I felt at ease.

When I got to the office, the top three were having a conference. When they called me in, I wasn’t ready for what happened. The night before, after I went home following the prayers, something was brewing. The manager at the highest volume unit in Austin had resigned to work for Pizza Inn down the road. They gave me the keys and told me to take over.

“In times of difficulties, seek refuge in your Lord who is present and manifest.”

I have faced many challenges since that day in 1985, and every time I found myself at the end of my wits, I recalled that incident and surrendered.

“God doesn’t burdens a soul more than it can bear.” ~Holy Qur’an

My three takeaways

1. Always do your best. Pursue excellence, and someone will appreciate what you have to offer. When you love what you do, opportunities for advancement will find you.

2.Know that challenges are a part of life. It doesn’t matter how big or complicated the situation may seem; it will never be more than what you can handle. The Universe has a solution to every problem.

3. And when it ever feels like you can’t take it anymore, that it is more than you can handle, just turn it over to a Being more resourceful than yourself. It doesn’t matter what your beliefs are or aren’t; when you surrender, you’ll begin to see things differently, and doors you didn’t even know existed will open for you.
