7 Most Popular Blogging Niches According To ChatGPT
In order of popularity
There are so many people here on Medium trying to earn a sustainable living by posting their articles. They love writing and know with their whole heart that that’s what they want to do.
I get it. I’m one of those people. So I asked ChatGPT what the most popular blogging niches were in hopes to help others on their writing journey. I’m also going to include some possible subtopics under each one because I think the niches were so vague.
The 7 Most Popular Niches
1. Lifestyle
This encompasses everything from personal style and home décor to travel and food.
I think this niche would be a great time to tell your readers more about yourself and your life. What do you like to do? Why are you writing on Medium? Really use this to try to relate to your readers.
Examples from my own writing:
2. Health and Wellness
With the emphasis on personal health, this can range from holistic healing to diet and nutrition.
Mental health would be an informative addition here. Personally, I suffer from bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.
This would also be an opportunity to bring awareness to chronic illnesses, like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
While I haven’t written about my health journey yet, I think this has inspired me to open up and write more about this.
3. Personal Finance
This niche includes everything from budgeting to investing and can be a lucrative area for bloggers.
Budgeting, investing, and cryptocurrency are hot topics right now. Don’t hesitate to jump on the bandwagon if you have the knowledge to do it!
4. Technology
This niche includes anything related to gadgets, software, and the internet in general.
Talk about AI. That’s what’s getting traffic right now. You don’t have to know much about technology to try out different prompts in an AI text generator and write about your experience. I love to ask it silly questions or tips on writing.
Examples from my own writing:
5. Entertainment
This covers a broad range of topics, including movies, television, music, and celebrity news.
Celebrity gossip will always be big. You could write about the drama with Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez (#TeamSelena) or anything else you find interesting.
What’s your favorite band right now? What are you binging on Netflix? You could spin off of those and talk about the things you don’t like and why.
I recently read an article about a fantasy writer named Brandon Sanderson and wrote my own in response.
6. Sports
Sports blogging covers everything from professional sports to hobbyist sports.
I don’t know much about sports so this one’s all for you guys. Write about your favorite teams or athletes, championships that are coming up, and what you like to play in your spare time.
Where can we watch the games? Have you ever been to one in person that really stuck with you? Tell us about it.
7. Business and Entrepreneurship
This niche is great for anyone with a knack for offering advice on startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurship in general.
So many people write about their experience using websites like Medium, Substack, or Gumroad. Using these to create digital products and generate passive income could be great topics to drive traffic to your page.
