A Brief Introduction

Who I am & why I’m here

You might be wondering who in the world I am and why I’m choosing to write on Medium. Valid questions, honestly.

My name is McCaylee Putney and I’m a writer. Note that I didn’t say “aspiring writer.” While I only have one publication under my belt, I write. If you decide to follow me, chances are you’re a writer too.

Take the word “aspiring” out of your vocabulary and own the fact that you write.

I’m also a wife, mother of 3, and MFA student at SNHU. I’m busy and tired, just like I’m sure you are, but I’m working on making writing a bigger priority in my day to day life. I have dreams of seeing my novel covers on billboards, my name on the NYT Bestseller List, and my books on shelves.

I hope you’ll come with me on this weird and wild journey of learning how to juggle writing with parenthood and everything in between.
