On another side, the last soldier who just passed 90 minutes before the official cease of war was George Ellison.
Ellison was a part of the army from a younger age, and he was 40 years old when he died on 11th November 1918.
Ellison joined the army in 1902 but left the army in 1912 and became a coal miner, but when the war began, he was recalled to support the army.
Astonishingly, both soldiers who died during the first world war are buried in opposite directions in the same place at the graveyard of the Belgian cemetery.
